About this listen

If you play with fire...

When fire crews are called to a blaze at the home of a Kilwinnoch GP they make a grisly discovery: the charred remains of the doctor and his entire family. But is this a tragic accident or an horrific, calculated murder? DCI Duncan Bone's worst fears are confirmed when a cryptic message is found at the scene hinting at a grudge against the medical profession.

A psychopathic serial killer may be at large in his home town.

The horror of the fire threatens to re-ignite dark memories of Bone’s own near-fatal assault. And with an increasingly terrified community praying for the nightmare to end, Bone knows that if he’s to stop the flames from his past consuming him once and for all, he must do battle not just with a homicidal maniac, but with the terrors inside his own mind.

Set among the dramatic hills and glens of Scotland's Campsie Fells, Burn it all Down is the seventh book in a series of edge-of-your-seat crime mysteries that will keep you guessing right up to the nail-biting, heart-stopping climax.

Perfect for fans of Ian Rankin, J.D. Kirk, Val McDermid and Stuart MacBride.

Also available in Kindle Unlimited.

Another excellent instalment in the DCI Bone series and I’m now impatient for the next book - it sounds very intriguing.
Narration is excellent by Steve Worsley who really manages the characters and their humour effortlessly.

Thanks to the great writing of TG Reid and the amazing narration talent of Steve Worsley, I am hooked. This is the 8th book in the series and I’m very quickly working my way through the audio books!

I’m obsessed!

I decided on very personal grounds to give 4 not my usual 5 stars. This instalment was as well written and performed as ever but I was irritated by the derogatory reference to animal rights and the assumption that a former AR activist had left all that behind as if he’d grown out of such convictions. Purely personal reaction I don’t expect others to feel. I stopped buying another author’s work because of the overt Christian agenda but I shall still continue with TG Reid’s excellent series.

Another good instalment but…
