Summary

Bailey and Quinn are back!

Bailey Ember Gardener Quinn should’ve read the manual on caring for an incubus before marrying hers. The marriage license hadn’t mentioned anything about their sexy, insatiable ways. If she doesn’t get a single night of undisturbed rest soon, she’ll snap - or go on a napalm bender.

Either would work.

Recruiting Tiffany “Perkette” Perkins to be her partner-in-crime isn’t the best idea, but nothing says fun quite like a road trip, and Perkette the Misdemeanor Collecting Queen could teach the devil a thing or two about having a good time.

Add in a string of rabies cases, more puppies than she can count (or readily adopt,) a job promotion, and her very own incubus in disguise on the hunt for her, and Bailey’s in for one hell of a ride.

Warning: This novel contains excessive humor, a unicorn on a napalm bender, Quinn on the hunt, and more shenanigans than you can shake a stick at. Proceed with caution.

Great to catch up with Bailey and Quinn

I adore this series, especially Bailey and Quinn, so I've been checking daily for Burn, Baby Burn to become available. I have the kindle version already and love the story, although Playing With Fire was better, IMO.

I was disappointed Bailey was narrated by Nicole Blessing. Her narration is decent, if a bit flat sometimes, but it can't compare with Courtney Holly's amazing performance, especially when Bailey is a unicorn. I did enjoy the male narrator and find it frustrating that his name isn't given on Audible. I know I recognise his voice from RJB's other audio books.

A more serious problem is a fault with the recording in chapter 18. All of Janet's dialog is missing and we only get Quinn's side of the conversation!

Edit: The missing conversation in chapter 18 has been added

Change in Narrator and missing tracks in Ch 18

I love Bailey and Quinn and have relistened to the audiobook of Playing With Fire several times. I loved Courtney Holly's accent and voices for these two. In this continuation of their journey, the narrator has changed. For Bailey's voice we have Nicole Blessing. There is no accent and Bailey sounds a bit whiny instead of sarcastic and full of fire. Bailey doesn't sound like Bailey. The narration for Quinn is a male narrator and he wasn't given credit any place. I know the voice and he did a good job with Quinn even though I still missed the accent. Also, in chapter 18, Janet's dialog is missing. There is just long spans of quiet before Quinn's answering dialog or thoughts. That was quite disappointing.

I did read the book before listening to the audiobook, and really enjoyed the Bailey and Quinn's continuing story. Many questions that did not get answered in Playing with Fire were answered. After reading all the books in this series, I can see some of the main ties to other characters throughout and I'm very curious about where the series is leading us.

Though the narration for this installment was disappointing in spots, the story is still excellent.

Love the series

A continuation of the love story of Bailey and Samuel Quinn.

Only problem, in chapter 18, someone forgot to record dialogue of a character. You’ll need the book to understand what’s going on. Perhaps someone could complete and send out an update.

Loved the book, Audible edition could be better

I miss the narrator from the first book. One problem with using two readers in this book is that they use different accents for the same character and neither does The perfect N Y accent that The reader of the first book achieved.
The problems with missing text in chapter 18 have been commented on by others. I hope this is fixed promptly.
4 stars for the book, 1 for the readers .

different than any other audiobook by RJ Blain

loved listening to two different people read the book, it gave the story more depth. only complaint was that Janet's lines in chapter 18 were missing and left me confused until I realized.

Bailey & Quinn at their hottest!

The story is awesome. I love the extra characters in this story with some entering from other MRCw/a BC stories. It feels like a large disfunctional family. 😉 I liked the narrators, but took a moment to adjust as I was expecting Courtney from the first book. There is currently an issue with chapter 18 and Janet’s missing lines, but I have no doubt Audible will get that fixed. If you loved Playing w/Fire, you will love this one. I can’t wait for the next installment.

Good addition to series

I preferred the narrator from the first book. Nicole Blessing’s cadence was odd with spacing between words that didn’t belong. I missed the New York accent from the first story. The changing POV was fun and kept the plot line moving quickly.

Devine genetics

Another super funny, aww my stomach hurts from laughing book. I really loved this one and the narrators did an amazing job with it too. It can’t have been an easy job doing these voices and they were spot on every time. I would warmly recommend this to anyone who loves funny books.

great book but needs a fix

Always love San and Baily and the crazy family. Fix the missing dialogue in chapter 18 and it's good to go.
