Summary

Two teenagers see a dead man rising from his grave. And if that's not alarming enough, one of them is killed in a hit and run accident. Soon it seems death is all around and Bryant and May must confront a group of latter-day bodysnatchers. More graves are desecrated, further deaths occur, and when Bryant is blindfolded and taken to a secret society, he realises that this case is more complex than even he had imagined.

Another good read .

As always another story full of characters you can picture, with twists, interesting London stories snd s bit of comedy. I love these Bryant and May books and can't wait for the next one. The reader is perfect and should not be changed as his voices become the characters you know from book to book. I especially love the Bryant character, who would not be the character he is without May, which is rather the point I think, however along the way the other characters have grown as well and therefore the books are as much about them as is the intrigue of the plots.

overall pretty good.

An interesting story, well written. I confess to losing the plot a few times due to the flowery rambling. which is part of Bryants character I realise. First time reading a Bryant and May story. Very amusing in places. A few suspect accents from the narrator - Asian or Welsh I wondered!

Like meeting old friends

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I discovered Bryant and May by accident a few years ago and have listened to all available
This latest one is amongst the very best of them

What did you like best about this story?

As with the other B&M books the characters are paramount
in this book the plot draws you in with mystery and humour

Have you listened to any of Tim Goodman’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Tim Goodman creates images of all the characters so much so that when I read a B&M book I hear his voice as I read

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Any additional comments?

Read these books in order if you can I listened to Seven Clocks and was hooked then went back to the begining

Still not sure

Where does Bryant & May and the Bleeding Heart rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

While I quite enjoyed it in the end, I'm not sure I would listen to another Bryant & May story.

Have you listened to any of Tim Goodman’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No, this is the first one and I thought it a good performance overall. He caught the different characterisations well.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not especially.

Any additional comments?

When I first started listening I didn't think I would want to finish it but slowly but surely I was pulled in by the story. I listen to a lot of different types of audio books but I'm not entirely sure whether I will listen to another Bryant & May story, at least not for a time. There is much better listening out there I think for me. That's not to say it was bad or boring but it did take me a long time to get into it.

Brilliant Series

I discovered this series quite recently and just can't get enough of them. The characters grow on you and as you progress through the books they become almost like friends. The story lines are quirky yet serious and quite dark at times, but also there are periods when you find yourself laughing out loud. the books are brilliantly narrated by Tim Goodman who brings each character to life.

one of the best listens ever

Would you consider the audio edition of Bryant & May and the Bleeding Heart to be better than the print version?

not really, however having read a few books in series it is still Tim Goodman's voice I hear in my head

What other book might you compare Bryant & May and the Bleeding Heart to, and why?

the series

Which scene did you most enjoy?

so many

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

absolutely,but not practical!

Any additional comments?

Give the series a go from the beginning. London 'facts' add to the interest of these stories
