Blackly Humorous and Skilfully Narrated
This brief story gives an insight into the life of the Dublin underclass and the mindset of a man approaching the end of his life. Amidst the somewhat grey environment, it has some very good black humour and moments of real humanity. It is also well narrated, with a good pace and some excellent voice acting.

An odd story though it oddly wraps you in
It's an odd story though with the introspection of the protagonist and the shifting timelines it keeps you entertained. Dublin life in such a world is rarely explored

I really struggled to get a grasp on the story
The staccato delivery by the narrator made the story very difficult to follow. I had to really concentrate to keep up, which I don't really want to do when listening to a book. The story was good.

I didn't get this story at all
I'm just going to say that I didn't get this story at all. Luckily it was a short story, so when I finished it and felt utterly confused, I decided to listen to it again. Sadly I just really didn't get it, even the second time around, so perhaps it was just me and the metaphor escaped my mental grasp. This did read more like poetry (not my strong suit) than a short story and I felt the halting, strange way the narrator decided to narrate this story just added to my confusion and I did not like it at all.
