Welcome to Broadway! Your tour guide: homicide detective Danny Clover (Larry Thor). He holds his exhaustion in check, knowing full well that his dangerous dealings with the underbelly of the Great White Way will begin again come the dawn. Supported by his colleagues - the paternal, precinct-based Sergeant Gino Tartaglia (Charles Calvert) and field investigator Detective Muggavan (Jack Kruschen) - Clover's work takes him to the Bronx, Spanish Harlem, Central Park, the Chelsea docks, Greenwich Village, Coney Island, and all over New York City. The cases presented here were produced and directed by Elliott Lewis, written by Morton Fine and David Friedkin, and performed by Betty Lou Gerson, Howard McNear, Frances Robinson, Paula Winslowe, Richard Crenna, William Conrad, and more. Episodes include: "The Joe Quito Murder Case", 03-03-50; "The Tommy Stafford Murder Case", 04-14-50; "The Elaine Hill Murder Case", 04-21-50; "The Max Wendell Murder Case", 04-28-50; "The Frank Conroy Murder Case", 07-03-50; "The Emilio Ramirez Murder Case", 07-17-50; "The Mary Demming Murder Case", 08-14-50; "The Ben Justin Murder Case", 12-08-50; "The Harry Foster Murder Case", 05-05-51; "The David Blaine Murder Case", 07-22-51; "The Howard Crawford Murder Case", 08-05-51; "The Ed Koster Murder Case", 10-13-51; "The Ricardo Miguel Murder Case", 10-27-51; "The Joe Blair Murder Case", 11-03-51; "The Mary Smith Murder Case", 12-08-51; "The Lucille Baker Murder Case", 12-15-51.

A Classic Set of Old Time Tales

A very nice collection, great sound quality, fine mysteries, a peek into the past, and superb actors. Hard to ask for better.
