About this listen

A werewolf killer. A paranormal murder. How many times can Emma Bellamy cheat death?

I’m one placement away from becoming a fully fledged London detective. It’s bad enough that my last assignment before I qualify is with Supernatural Squad. But that’s nothing compared to what happens next.

Brutally murdered by an unknown assailant, I wake up 12 hours later in the morgue - and I’m very much alive. I don’t know how or why it happened. I don’t know who killed me. All I know is that they might try again.

Werewolves are disappearing right, left, and centre.

A mysterious vampire seems intent on following me everywhere I go.

And I have to solve my own vicious killing. Preferably before death comes for me again.

Definitely a pleasant read, combination of crime and supernatural theme entertaining but struggled with the narrator nearly didn’t finish it because of the performance

Fun book, enough character and world building for a good series. For some reason Ruth Urquhart, the reader, does a fine job with most of the characters but has decided that the heroine is a weak, whining, whinging teenager. Every utterance is defensive/aggressive. Not a person who would ever be taken seriously. Greatly detracts from the story. I reverted to reading the Kindle version to enjoy the book, which is a shame/

Engaging and Enjoyable story - awful performance

The story was good and I liked the main characters, and the mystery was entertaining enough, even if a little on the weak side.
This was a good start for the series and I'm intrigued enough to carry on to the next book (eventually). But, I have to say the motives for the crimes committed were a HUGE let down, it really made no sense to me, at all.
There was some good action too and we end the book with enough questions to entice us to read the next one in order to find out those answers.
The narration was really good too.

I was entertained and curious

Netflix you need to pick this series off books up and turn it in to one off your series for your channel, as this would make one off the best series with the right cast , anyway about the books fucking fantastic.

Excellent

Good story but but the female lead sounded too young and naive to be believable to me. More like teenager in school. Will continue with the series on my ereader instead

Good storyline
