Summary

Alan Ladd stars as newspaperman turned mystery novelist Dan Holliday. To seek out new ideas for his fiction, Holliday runs classified ads in the Star-Times newspaper, where he formerly worked: "Adventure wanted, will go anywhere, do anything - write Box 13, Star-Times." Each episode follows Holliday's adventures when he responds to the letters sent to him by such people as a psycho killer and various victims.

Sylvia Picker appeared as Holliday's scatterbrained secretary, Suzy, while Edmund MacDonald played police lieutenant Kling. Supporting cast members included Betty Lou Gerson, Frank Lovejoy, Lurene Tuttle, Alan Reed, Luis Van Rooten, and John Beal. Vern Carstensen, who directed Box 13 for producer Richard Sanville, was also the show's announcer.

Great writing, great fun, great stories! Digitally remastered.

Good program

Always liked Alan Ladd as an actor, he was good in this series. The storyline is mostly believable but kinda far fetched, one wonders when he has time to make a living to support him but also his secretary.
