It was summer in the mountains when five small children vanished from their nursery school picnic. The heat was stifling that day, the tinkle of an ice-cream van in the air.... Three-and-a-half years later, in the dead of winter, the children are returned to their families...one by one. All except for Ivy - the granddaughter of Homicide Detective Kate Wakeland. Summary
What would you do if you found out your child is a psychopath?
One night when Jennifer Hanson returns home, she catches her 12-year-old son, Shane, stabbing their cat to death. Thankfully, he doesn't see her. Having long known Shane has a brain with psychopathic tendencies, her worst fears may be confirmed. Ever since he accidentally shot his father to death at age six, she has done everything she can to ensure Shane doesn't become a full-blown psychopath. He has behaved normally up until now. Have her efforts been in vain?
She can tell he's changing, becoming increasingly dangerous, but she can't stomach putting him in a psych ward. But then she finds pictures of a dead girl in his phone, a girl everyone thought had died accidentally....
Note: Born Evil is a stand-alone psychological thriller with no sex and little violence.

Really needs to be edited a few more times
The story line really wasn’t bad, it was almost good actually. But it felt like it had been written but a 12 year old, it needed to be edited a lot more. It felt very obvious in its writing, juvenile in its writing style there was almost too much detail.... I don’t know how to describe it. Now this may be because I am in my mid 20s and it’s meant for YA, my sister who’s 16 loved it. I just think with another few edits this could be almost great.

Interesting story
This story is hard to review without spoiling the end, so I'll just say this: by the time I got a little bit leary about Jennifer Hanson's attitude, there was a change of narrator and a lot of things become more clear... or so I thought :P I was trapped in the story from the beginning, although the last third was a bit weaker. I liked the narration by Theresa Wolcott; the one by Carl Bradley not so much, and that might be part of why I felt that way. All in all, this is a very entertaining story with a couple of twists that made for a surprising ending. And left me wanting to check other books by this author :)

A Mother’s Fear
A psychopath and if it one’s son what would one do. To kill a father when sleeping, was surprised more wasn’t done then. A book of a mother that some may like of her fears. Different and the narration brought out the emotions of her. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Too Gruesome For Me
The narrators are horrible. I thought the female voice was bad until it got to the male voice. The story starts off okay albeit tragic then he goes downhill. The ending sickened me. Don’t waste your time on this one. I wish I hadn’t.
