Well listening and easy to understand.

This audiobook is broken down well and easy to navigate. Each chapter dives into different levels of awareness from within and provides tools explaining how to navigate the storm of personal emotions. Its true, that most don't want to deal with their emotions but let me tell you this: one shift in how you deal with something or someone can have a positive effect on yourself which is priceless.

This is really informative and interesting.

Interesting, especially to read as a couple. Or to pretend we're reading as a couple. It would be nice to read as a couple, but someone won't bother. But that is ok. You can't change your partner, you have to accept all their annoying faults while listening to them whine about yours. How about they help out, just once, you know. But you must learn to live in the moment and accept it as it is, even if in that moment they need to accept a frying pan upside the head.

Everyone should listen this audiobook.

I am listening for a audiobook to learn more about DBT. This audiobook only indirectly does that and only to a limited extent. There are some exercises, but this audiobook is more for those with extreme emotional issues. Not so much for ordinary mood swings, although it could help some. I am using it to help with my interactions at work.

The perfect audiobook.

You'll get just as much information looking up DBT resources online and are less likely to encounter unrealistic "let's all be positive, won't that be great" annoyances. I updated my rating to two stars because the chapters on emotion regulation are decent if you haven't encountered those techniques before.

I have benefited listening to this audiobook.

This is the most helpful audiobook so far in the world on reducing conflicts and negative interactions in various relationships. Concepts in this audiobook help improve behaviors not only in couples, but in other interpersonal relationships such as family, friends, work, community. There are two key concepts in this book, Accurate Expression and dealing with high negative emotional Arousal due to Invalidation.

Great advice for resolving everyday conflicts.

Fantastic guide for couples with different emotional styles. Dont let the title turn you off - it is intended for couples with all kinds of conflict, not for issues of abuse/violence. Both my spouse and I found the suggestions extremely helpful for improving our communication.I am able to figure out what pattern triggered my loss of a calm refined demeaner.

This audiobook is difinetly well.

This is one of the best tools for couples who are more invested in winning an argument or getting their way rather than having a healthy satisfying relationship. Tremendous audiobook. It is an easy read with practices that can help immediately.I recommend this book for couples with conflict unfortunately I have an unwilling partner who isnt willing to change, hopefully yours will change with these helpful practices.

One of the best audiobook.

There were many things in here that reinforced the benefits of DBT and translated those skills for use with couples. I am impressed enough to be looking for Author's next training. I would highly recommend to therapists as well as couples to listen this. There were many things in here that reinforced the benefits of DBT and translated those skills for use with couples. This audiobook is a great resource.

This audiobook helped me incorporate new ideas for therapy and gave me a strong vocabulary to talk to my healthcare team. The terminology is straight forward, with the examples being palatable and related. The audio-book is decorated in an unnecessarily straightforward manner, with purposeful redundancies to relay substantial attention to apparently restless personalities.

Everybody should listen this audiobook.

It gives models and recounts to different people groups stories and how they overcame it and so forth. It is a WORK book, not a tricky feely audiobook. Accomplish the work and be focused on completely changing you and mending your brain. I think numerous individuals have most likely endured maltreatment that has adversely influenced their idea of life and mental self-portrait. Peruse the audiobook. If it's not too much trouble making this a audiobook recording just as the Authors.

Imformative and very interestiong audiobook too.

This audiobook is such a great resource for clinicians! It is well-written and clear, making DBT more accessible and very helpful in delivering interventions to a wide range of clients. What I appreciate most is its flexibility in helping clinicians feel comfortable in picking portions that meet individual client needs. I highly recommend this audiobook!

Best audiobook ever i listen.

A excellent audiobook that you can use on your own or together with your therapist. As someone who has been identified with Borderline persona disease and who has struggled for many years with emotional disregulation, i have observed this audiobook extremely useful and i would suggest it distinctly.

Audiobook does a wonderful job explaining things.

It also has activities and homework for practicing new skills. A nice investment, and something to help you select better responses to difficult situations. There are still some things I have a hard time putting into practice, but that's on me, the audio book does a wonderful job of explaining things.

This audiobook was recommended to me.

This audiobook was recommended to me by a friend who is also a therapist. It has been an amazing tool to help me learn mindfulness and ways to handle my anxiety. I am listening one chapter a day then spending time reflecting on what I've learned. I would recommend doing the same and not just rushing through to the end. If you have anxiety.

This treatment manual easy and enjoyable listen.

This audiobook provides an immediate "aha" moment in providing a novel way to understand a group of clients who have traditionally not fully benefited from therapy in the past. The transdiagnostic formulation of 'overcontrol' is eye-opening and applies to a population who often suffers in silence (and social isolation). This treatment manual is easy and enjoyable to listen, the theory is grounded in a large literature delineating over- versus undercontrol, and I believe this treatment will transform psychotherapy treatment for a wide range of disorders exhibiting overcontrol in the years to come.

Thorough and easily accessible explanation.

This tome provides a thorough and easily accessible explanation- from research, to conceptualization, to implementation. The audiobook models the treatment by incorporating humor and revisiting concepts in a way that leads to easier integration. It is uncommon for me to find a treatment textbook that is fun to listen , but this one is!

The audiobook impressed me deeply.

This treatment is truly ground-breaking, This treatment hones in on individuals who are often suffering in silence, successful by society standards yet desperately alone on the inside, and provides hope for clients where other treatments have fallen short. Targeting both behavior and neurological emotional substrates, RO-DBT provides tools to both feel better in the moment and guide behavior for a more flexible, open, and connected life.

The audiobook gives me a lot.

I bought this audiobook after the psychologist I'm seeing was using it as a guide for our sessions, and I wanted my own to take home and review on my own as well as use during our sessions. I can not recommend this audiobook highly enough, even recommend it to my friends and family that DON'T have any mental health issues, because it's a great guided workbook to getting a handle on your life, emotions, and dealing with people around you. 110% recommend!
