Empty and uninformative. Awful narration.

The content was largely uninformative. Flips between being for those suffering, to blaming them and how others around BPD sufferers can deal with them. (essentially by distance and some minor understanding). Lots of 10 ways to avoid 'x' which sound repetitive and not memorable. But worst, narrator is awful. Truly awful. He slurs words, runs through punctuation and you end up losing the narrative in his exclamation. How does a self help book get narrated by a seeming NFL commentator?

This Is a Work Book?

Maybe the physical version is different than the audio version. Basically this gave a run down of BPD history, signs/symptoms, causes, "facts", diagnosis, described different therapies and medications, etc. I found NOTHING at all about working through my BPD or how to live with it more successfully. At one point there was even some sort of quote about how those with BPD feel - wtf? No one asked me how I feel lol how is this author speaking on behalf of all those who have BPD?

Someone is at fault.

A great place to start. But it personally bugs the crap out of me that she says "no one is at fault". Like yes, your support system broke you. That's who's at fault.

Useful content but awful narration

The narrator struggles to pronounce basic words and read sentences correctly. This is very distracting.

Best audiobook ever i listen.

A excellent audiobook that you can use on your own or together with your therapist. As someone who has been identified with Borderline persona disease and who has struggled for many years with emotional disregulation, i have observed this audiobook extremely useful and i would suggest it distinctly.

dissapointing

this is an audiobook that gives you a general sense and ynderstanding of bpd andproblems that occur. however, there is no actual treatment plan, only explanations and the history and such. also the book implies that depression should be medicated, and that's it. people need to the root of our problems to treat symptones as depression, not simply masking it drugs.

Everybody should listen this audiobook.

It gives models and recounts to different people groups stories and how they overcame it and so forth. It is a WORK book, not a tricky feely audiobook. Accomplish the work and be focused on completely changing you and mending your brain. I think numerous individuals have most likely endured maltreatment that has adversely influenced their idea of life and mental self-portrait. Peruse the audiobook. If it's not too much trouble making this a audiobook recording just as the Authors.

Imformative and very interestiong audiobook too.

This audiobook is such a great resource for clinicians! It is well-written and clear, making DBT more accessible and very helpful in delivering interventions to a wide range of clients. What I appreciate most is its flexibility in helping clinicians feel comfortable in picking portions that meet individual client needs. I highly recommend this audiobook!

Audiobook does a wonderful job explaining things.

It also has activities and homework for practicing new skills. A nice investment, and something to help you select better responses to difficult situations.There are still some things I have a hard time putting into practice, but that's on me, the audio book does a wonderful job of explaining things.

This audiobook was recommended to me.

This audiobook was recommended to me by a friend who is also a therapist. It has been an amazing tool to help me learn mindfulness and ways to handle my anxiety. I am listening one chapter a day then spending time reflecting on what I've learned. I would recommend doing the same and not just rushing through to the end. If you have anxiety.
