The UK's answer to Serial!

I was completely hooked, and binged this in an entire day! Didn't know about the case beforehand, but I was gripped, horrified and terrified at times by this brilliant podcast. Very well put together, and it wasn't over the top like some American shows can be!

Anyway, this is well worth a listen if, like me, you're obsessed with true crime! Great to have a quality British listen, with two refreshingly British voices.

Gripping, compelling and all that goes with it - as good as Serial.

This gripped me from the start and I’ve thought of nothing else for the last 2 days. So thorough and so well put together, easily as good as Serial.

Interesting and well researched

It’s obvious that a lot of hard work has gone into this podcast. Both presenters clearly know the case inside out. The evidence was presented without obvious bias but the whole thing still sounds very human as the presenters pose questions that aligned with how I felt throughout.
It’s made me think very differently about the whole justice system. Top work well done to all involved.

Best crime podcast since Serial

A gripping crime podcast from Sophie and Darrell. One of the best I’ve had the pleasure of listening to.

Binge listened!

This was gripping from the start - and once I'd started to listen, I couldn't stop. It's a well thought out account and analysis of what appears to be a rather wobbly conviction. Sophie and Darren are thoughtful in their research and have empathy with the people they interview. They show no judgement or bias in their narration, so I didn't feel I was being led in a particular direction by them. Thoroughly enjoyed it - looking forward to the next one, please!

Beyond Reasonable Doubt?

….its really hard to see how this is beyond reasonable doubt - far too many questions - hopefully a follow up will cast more light!
Well crafted and performance is more than five star.

Compelling

An incredibly interesting, well made investigative piece. I couldn't stop listening. How can anyone be given a life sentence without any forensics whatsoever, but why are there gaps in the journey he made the day after the disappearance? Highly recommended.
