Summary
Blue Bloods and Backroads is the full-length follow-up to Between a Rock and a Royal and is not intended to be listened to as a stand-alone title.
Love is a four-letter word. So is jerk.
Ruby: The only thing worse than a guy sneaking out in the middle of the night is finding he left a fat stack of cash as his only goodbye. Well, Leo Baxter can take that blue-blood money and whatever connection we had and shove it where the sun don’t shine. It’s time to focus on hunting down my jailbird cousin, saving the family business, and keeping my uncle from taking a one-way trip to crazy town. Luckily, I’ve got some help from an unexpected source. I’m gonna wrap this up, tuck my heart away, and get back to real life...not the fairytale I was stupid enough to start believing in.
Leo: It shouldn’t have come as a surprise. Being used and exploited for my name and position is, unfortunately, not a new experience. But I thought Ruby was different - which is what makes her deception cut so deep. Now it’s time for damage control and for Malcolm and me to go home and attend to our duties. Life is less complicated when you stay on the straight and narrow. Too bad those winding backroads are calling my name, and there’s only one person my heart wants to travel them with.

Sweet
Ruby and Leo have a lot to overcome in this story, one of which is a huge misunderstanding. But this adorable pair, along with Malcom make this story an absolute delight!

Book 2, not a standalone
Book one is “Between a Rock and a Royal” I am still enjoying this story. I loved when Ruby found out she was going to meet Leo’s family. This book doesn’t really end on a cliffhanger but you will definitely want the next book to find out what happens with Mal. the next book is “Stealing kisses with a King.” The Narration was good. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

More of Leo & Ruby's story
I liked Ruby and Leo from Between a Rock and a Royal (which you should definitely read first), so it was great to get the conclusion of their story. I hope Alice's story comes out in the future, since she was one of my favorite characters in this story.
Meagan Moses did a fabulous job with narration and made the characters seem real. It was more than just the voices alone for Leo & Ruby, but as the craziness escalates, the chapters in Leo's point of view still came across as calm while the chapters in Ruby's point of view were a little more dramatic.

Original Fun
This was a cute follow up to Between a Rock and a Royal. I loved hoe the author thought of original ways for these two to make their long distance romance work. Looking forward to the Alice’s story.

Left me wanting more
I listened to the audio version of this book. I enjoyed book one more than this one. I wasn’t completely satisfied with the ending. I’m assuming we’ll hear more about Leo and Ruby in Malcolm’s book I hope. I don’t feel happy the way it is. I look forward to the next one. Narration was great.

Truly remarkable
Sylvie Stewart characters are so relatable that I could see myself befriending them. She really has a way of making us immerse ourselves in the story.

Leonardo invites Ruby to his home
Ruby finds herself waking in a motel and hours away from home and then she meets Alice whom used to work for Prince Malcolm even though he and his brother were already back in Europe. She was absolutely pissed off with his brother Leo whom she thought she had a serious connection until he left her like she was a one night stand among other things. Her biggest problem is getting home and making sure the police catch up with her cousin Jason and her ex-boy friend Nash who seem to want to do evil to her. But Leo realizes that he mistreated Ruby and wants to help and protect her but Ruby is certainly not a wilting flower she has back bone. They have an interesting little adventure. Enjoyed the story line and the characters were interesting. Part 2 of this audible series. I own an audible copy. I am providing an honest review.

Who wants a knight in shining armor when you can have a prince!
I loved this story. Leo gave me all the feels! I loved Ruby and Leo’s meet cute. After Leo’s identical twin brother makes an a$$ out of himself, Ruby mistakes Leo for him. Ruby is just what responsible and unshakable Leo needs to bring color and joy to his structured life. Malcom is the perfect matchmaker! I do think this should have been 1 book. There was absolutely no reason it needed to split.

Part 2 of this wonderful rom-com
I love Sylvie Stewart and her Carolina based books and this book is no exception. I am not normally a fan of books that are multiple parts preferring the HEA to be in one book. I made an exception for the books in this series (Between a Rock and a Royal was the first part) and the conclusion of Leo and Ruby’s story did not disappoint. There were plenty of laughing moments and hot sexy times in this conclusion to the story. Warning - the story picks up where the first book left off. You need to listen to the first book before this one. This funny romantic and sweet story is worth reading both parts.

Fabulous read!
I really enjoyed this 2nd book in the series. It keeps you vested all the way to end. All characters are brought to life and even the secondary characters make you fall in love with them.

Joyfully addictive! Even better than the 1st one
This audiobook is the second part of a duet, so you need to listen to them in order. I love the happily ever after for Ruby and Prince Leo, and this story marvelously set the stage for Malcolm’s romance in an upcoming book. I can’t wait! I also love how we got to know Alice. I love the characters. The plot twists were so exciting and the relationship development was so satisfying that I didn’t want to stop listening. The love scenes were steamy but not too frequent. I think that Sylvie Stewart is one of the best rom-com writers out there. I totally recommend this duet to everyone who loves contemporary romance and/or romantic comedies.
The narrator Meagan Moses did a marvelous job. Throughout, she was great at all the North Carolina characters and their accents. She also did a fantastic job with the voices of all the European characters. She always had the right posh English accent for them. The pacing, action scenes, and comic timing were all superb.
I requested and received a free audiocode from the author, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.
