Blown Wide Open is an audiobook narrated by Salvadore Poe. It is more than five hours long, offering 39 holidays. A holiday lets you come to know, in your own direct experience, your essential being of freedom. It is not philosophy or a description of freedom; it reveals truth in a clear and obvious way as you are listening. It does not lay out yet another path and another goal, other than recognizing your freedom here and now.

The means Sal uses for this recognition is called holidays. As Sal states in the "An Introduction to Holidays", “A holiday is being blown wide open, knowing who you are, being who you are. It is both the goal of freedom and the way of liberating your mind from fear, doubt, suffering, delusion, and seeking. It is the goal, in that, a holiday reveals the truth that freedom is your natural human condition, here and now. And it is the way in that, continuing to be on holiday resolves the tendencies that cause suffering and doubt, and brings an end to seeking anything.”

If you are interested in coming to know freedom, yes, it is possible and yes, this audiobook can help you recognize that which is now and always has been true for you.

Salvadore Poe is really a down to Earth teacher and his idea of holiday is brilliant. I think it's similar to Ramana's self evidence but in simple language for simple people like me!

I enjoy this audio and a few minutes a day it sinks in. best read and listen together

atma vichara in English!

A simple, direct way to know the truth of who we are. Perfect for the seeker who has probably tried a lot of things and is finally ready to just be with the plain, simple truth. This was my first intro to Salvadore's work, but from spending some time looking at what else he does, he appears to be a really decent, genuine guy, focused on helping people see the truth, rather than making himself rich.

I've enjoyed it and will be using it regularly!

As much a meditation as a book. Makes me feel different once I've listened to it for 5 minutes.
