He's a spy for the king. She's a fighter who barely survived a treacherous relationship. Can they try their hand at uncovering one of England's biggest conspiracies?

In 1483 London, Andrew works as a spy for the king’s brother Richard. Through necessity, he has lived life in the shadows. When tragedy points to regicide, Andrew delves deeper into a maze of dangerous duplicity.

When young Tyballis discovers her husband has been arrested for murder, she is delighted. As a young orphan coerced to marry her abusive neighbor, she was horribly used. Now is her chance to be rid of him for good and find the confidence she never had.

When Tyballis joins forces with the motley network of Andrew’s informers and thieves, they are lured into the dark and dangerous world of medieval London’s political intrigue and back alley slums. It’s not long before Tyballis is accused of murder herself…

Blessop’s Wife is a thought-provoking mystery that fuses fact and fiction to stunning effect and explores what it means to be human.

Enjoyed this from start to finish. Took a chapter to get used to the narrators style, but once I did, it flowed nicely and hours passed without me noticing. I listened to it on two plane journeys on a sunbed and on the beach and enjoyed the whole thing.
IT’s descriptions of life and conditions in late 15th century England were great and I felt as though I could have walked the streets myself. The historical details and context seem right and the story moves gradually at first and then finishes at a pace. I even listened to the last few chapters twice to get everything in place.
Overall a very enjoyable experience and where else can you get so much entertainment and enjoyment for so little.
Looking forward to listening to the next one.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, not come across the author before but I will be looking for more! Great story line with lots of twists and turns. Unlike many books of this length there was no irrelevant padding or slow passages where you thought the wheel needed a new hamster…… happy to recommend it and rate it a 5star book

I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this book. Although long it was intriguing showing an insight into what was probably true likelihood of life during that period. The narrator’s voice was suave and amazing.

Absolutely brilliant!

I loved this book, all 23 hours of it. Medieval mysteries are my favourite and I have read 100's of them. This one is well worth it. Fabulous narration and fabulous story.
