Summary

The Bjorklund family has received word that Augusta Bjorklund is on her way from Norway to join them in North Dakota. When the train arrives in the town of Blessing with no Augusta aboard, the worried family hopes that she will be on the train in the morning. However, only her trunk arrives, so Bridget Bjorklund insists that Hjelmer, Augusta's brother, go find her.

Augusta, after discovering that her intended bridegroom had married someone else, decided to leave her broken heart in Norway and start a new life in America. But knowing no English, Augusta misunderstands a ticket agent's directions in St. Paul, Minnesota, and in the harried confusion she boards the wrong train. When she arrives at the end of the line, she is met by a handsome young rancher, Kane Moyer, waiting for his Norwegian mail-order bride....

Great performance, Book 6

This was book 6 in the series. Blessing in Disguise is quite an adventure and tells about mail-order brides.

I loved this book and will listen to more from the Snelling series.

I love this series but the narrator was awful

What did you love best about Blessing in Disguise?

I love this series. I've read it totally thought 2 times. I needed something to listen to while I was working on a big project so I have gone through the first 6 books. The narration is tolerable because the story is so good but OMG. She goes between accents with no consistency, she is so monotone it's painful at times. If you love Laruaine Snellings writing you can get through it but just know its not good. I prefer when the actual author narrates.

What did you like best about this story?

The story of these people coming to america and forming the town of Blessing is so sweet. I love every character and Lauraine Snelling brings them to life in such a way I want to crawl in the books and live there. I love would a movie but I know Hollywood would butcher it. Sweet escape to a lovely place

Would you be willing to try another one of Callie Beaulieu’s performances?

NEVER

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Horrible narrator

I don't mean to be mean, but seriously, this narrator was intolerable. I could not even get through the 2nd chapter. Her monotone voice did not allow me to even get into the story. I'm spoiled to listening to Pam Ward and others like her that are obviously "professional narrators." Again, I don't mean to hurt feelings.
