Summary

Inspector John Rebus must disinter all four cases to nail just one killer who might just lead back to the infamous Bible John. And do it while facing the glare of an internal inquiry led by a man he has just accused of taking backhanders from Glasgow's Mr Big, and with TV cameras at his back investigating a miscarriage of justice.

One mistake is likely to mean an unpleasant and not particularly speedy death or, worse still, losing his job.

Abridged. Extremely Abridged.

I was born and grew up in Aberdeen and I enjoyed Stuart Macbride partly because it's so easy to imagine the characters stomping around the granite city. Consequently the abridged-ness, and therefore, lack of descriptions of the streets etc. really grated on me.

So I borrowed my Dad's paperback afterwards. Can they not release the whole book? So the review stars reflect this with the high review for the story and the narrator but a low review for cutting out most of the book!

Audible stopped playing 35minutes in

Audible audiobook stopped and no matter what is tried it won’t play beyond 35minutes.
Not acceptable as audible is expensive and therefore we should get a satisfactory experience for that higher cost.
