A week before Lenore Warwick's 21st birthday, she's kidnapped by the brooding and dangerous stranger with cold eyes and a lethal touch, who has been stalking her on San Francisco's fog-shrouded streets. All Lenore knows is that she has (normal) parents who love her, that she's exceptionally smart, and she's squeamish around blood. But once she turns 21, she'll fully turn into a vampire, and Solon hopes he'll be there to guide her, opening her eyes to her deepest hunger...both sexual and otherwise.

But this turning can't be kept a secret. Soon both slayers and vampires are hunting Lenore, with only Solon and his unpredictable motley crew of vampires to save her.

I wasn’t sure I liked this for quite a way through it but I really love the narrators voice, it fit perfectly with how descriptive the book is, there is a LOT of sex stuff but even if that’s not your thing it’s still good and I really liked the characters by the end, I wasn’t sure what to think of Salone as he seemed kind of a douche and I didn’t know what she saw in him but by the end I warmed to him, not sure how the accent of Wolfe will come across for people who actually have that accent but I didn’t notice it after a while and thought she actually made him sound quite sweet, I also loved the way she pronounced Skarde! The ending was perfect I thought but it didn’t really end things fully with Skarde as I doubt he just suddenly gave up! I’m not into vampire stuff at all really but I liked this book, I’d defo recommend it if you do
like vampire stuff!

I loved the story but wished I would’ve read it instead of listening to the audiobook (the narration wasn’t good and I think some aspects would’ve been better if I had read it)
However, I’ll probably pick up the second one! 🥰

Fantastic story and great narration, brought the whole story to life, have also bought and read the book and will read and listen to again many times into the future, really hope an audiobook is made of The Blood is Love which is the sequel to Black Sunshine , 100% recommend

Appreciated the book very much and since the second one wasn't narrated yet I just started reading it, which made one thing a bit more clear to me. The woman in the household is not named Ivan (understandably), but Yvonne.
