Summary

The slashing of a valuable painting at the renowned Ivory Gallery in London, followed by the murder of the proprietor's son-in-law, Robert, sets the stage for another finely tuned Allingham mystery. Classic Detective

Another lovely reading by Philip Franks of one of Allingham's books. This one does not feature Campion but it does feel like he could step out of the shadows at any time. Excellent characters and period details, dramatic tension and an exciting conclusion. I would definitely recommend this.
