My name is Nix, and I am a familiar. Or, I want to be one.
I turn 21 in less than two weeks and before then I have to find a witch that will bond with me. If I don't, I will turn into a normal cat and lose my magic, including my human form.
The problem is, no one wanted me to be their familiar. I am not very good at controlling my magic. Every time I try to, something blows up...or catches on fire.
There were only two options left to me now. A witch rumored to do black magic who already has five familiars, or a mysterious warlock rumored to take on every familiar who asks.
Of course, now that I’ve actually found a witch who would accept me, she’s been kidnapped.

It stands on its own to some extent, but has one of those cliff-hanger endings (which I loathe personally but understand some to be fine with)
Definitely R-rated, so you may want to avoid public places as these scenes tend to just appear without warning or build up.
