Publisher's Summary

Random House presents the unabridged downloadable audiobook edition of My Lives: From Del Boy to Granville, Pop Larkin to Frost by David Jason.

In his first book, David Jason told us about himself from his early years training as an electrician through to making it as one of Britain's actors. This autumn, in a follow-up autobiography, he tells us about the many other lives he has lived - his characters. From Del Boy to Granville, Pop Larkin to Frost, he takes us behind the scenes and under the skins of some of the best loved acts of his career. And in the process he reflects on how those characters changed his life, too. The result, told with his characteristic charm and wit, is both funny and poignant, honest and heartwarming.

    "Superb"

A joy to listen to. Going over the wonderful characters he played throughout his years. Pity David did not read himself otherwise faultless.

"A must-have for any Only Fools / 80s-90s-20's TV fan! Everybody!"

I first fell in love with the work of David Jason when he provided the voice for Danger Mouse.
I watched all of Only Fools of Horses when I was 5 (in 1992) it was a programme I got to share with my grandparents who raised me.
Now when I watch it - whenever I watch it, it not only entertains me but reminds me of them and how lucky I was to have them and their influence.
I can't also help but feel how lucky I was to have David Jason, Nicholas Lyndhurst, Leonard Pearce, Buster Merryfield and their influence.
    Wonderful.

"Disappointed not to hear DJ longer"

Misleading cover promotion and it was a real shame not to have David narrate more than the first 5 mins of intro. Narration was good but just not the same. Recently listened to John Cleeses' autobiography and he narrated the whole thing for audible which really added to the listening experience.

    "A bit disappointing"

When I say disappointing don’t get me wrong its a good book the issue comes from David not reading more then the first chapter which makes some of the jokes and story’s not seem right in my mind.

    "Not read by the author"

David Jason just reads the foreword on the audiobook.
The rest of the book is read by what sounds like a robot - utter rubbish

    "A must read"

Having read his first autobiography I thought Jason has said it all. Not so, this volume was just as good. Its a shame he went hollywood on us and got a stunt Jason to read it aloud, and that the editor was asleep and left repeated lines in the final version... but I still loved it!

    "I was most disappointed"

I was most disappointed after the opening, it's a shame David Jason didn't narrate more.
