Summary
My Exile Lifestyle is a memoir made of stories from the life of author, entrepreneur, and full-time traveler, Colin Wright. From his early years as an antisocial geek, to his high-flying career in Los Angeles, to his life as a wandering vagabond, Colin holds nothing back as he talks about love, business, blogging, and culture through tales that span four continents. In the easy to digest style of storytelling that has made his other work such a success, Colin discusses life on the road and nothing is too taboo. Every epic, embarrassing, and awkward detail is covered with sometimes brutal honesty.

Disappointing early effort by Colin.
I really like reading Colin's work, his book Comes Back Frayed is one of my favourites. But this book is pretty poor. The choice of the female narrator is odd, and doesn't fit at all. The story is a little all over the place. Colin comes across as naive and over confident and I can see why lots of people think he is egotistical in this book. I listened to the end, but I don't think I would listen again. I would say this book captures the boundless energy and intentions of an early twenty something, with the over confidence that comes with a lot of people at that age. Reading Colin's later work,, I would say he's grown a lot, but this book reflects the views of a youngster with a limited amount of life experience, but with the belief that he has the wisdom of somone way beyond his years. I recommend Colin's book mentioned above, and his interesting articles from his site. I'd give this a miss.
