Summary

Now a major motion picture.

Molly Bloom reveals how she built one of the most exclusive, high-stakes underground poker games in the world - an insider's story of excess and danger, glamour and greed.

Molly Bloom formed the most elite high-stakes poker game Hollywood had ever seen - she was its mistress, its lion tamer, its agent and its oxygen. Everyone wanted in; few were invited to the table.

In the late 2000s, Molly Bloom, a 20-something petite brunette from Loveland, Colorado, ran the highest stakes, most exclusive poker game in existence. Hundreds of millions of dollars were won and lost at her table. Molly's game became the game for those in the know - celebrities, business moguls and millionaires. Molly staged her games in palatial suites with beautiful views and exquisite amenities. She flew privately, dined at exquisite restaurants, hobnobbed with the heads of Hollywood studios, was courted by handsome leading men and was privy to the world's most delicious gossip - until it all came crashing down around her and she lost everything.

Molly's Game is a behind-the-scenes look at Molly's game, the life she created, the life she lost and what she learned in the process.

mollys game

she certainly was honest and the insight into la's more seedy side was interesting and repugnant however she seems like a decent enough person and her story about grace was genuine, she got her head turned by illusion and has not really learned anything but it was a enjoyable book , best of luck molly you are a capable woman

Game On

This is not so much a book about poker, as one about human behaviour. If you want insights
Into the card game you will be disappointed. This is about a woman with cojones who carved out a small empire based on her own shrewdness and gritty determination. She has been criticized for her lack of moral reflection; for dispensing with significant details and padding the plot with relationship melodrama. I can't dispute this, but neither can I deny thoroughly enjoying this very American tale, resonant of an Elmore Leonard novel, where the scale of the stakes and the power of the players is truly breathtaking, and Molly 's negotiation of both earned my admiration.
Cassandra Campbell 's narration adds a pitch perfect sensuality and swagger.

The American Mindset

Thought I would listen to the book before seeing the film. Enjoyed it but once again the theme is always compete, with the chance of wanting acceptance and praise.
