Summary

Part autobiography, part self-help, part confession, part celebration of being a common-or-garden woman, part collection of synonyms for nunny, Sarah Millican's debut audiobook delves into her super normal life with daft stories, funny tales and proper advice on how to get past life's blips - like being good at school but not good at friends, the excitement of IBS and how to blossom postdivorce.

If you've ever worn glasses at the age of six, worn an off-the-shoulder gown with no confidence, been contacted by an old school bully, lived in your childhood bedroom in your 30s, been gloriously dumped in a Frankie and Benny's, cried so much you felt great, been for a romantic walk with a dog or worn leggings two days in a row even though they smelt of wee from a distance, then this is your audiobook. If you haven't done those things but wish you had, this is your audiobook. If you just want to laugh on a train/sofa/toilet or under your desk at work, this is your audiobook.

5 Champion Stars

One of the most enchanting women reads one of the sweetest autobiographies.

Sarah welcomes you into her life through food, jokes, honest storytelling, animals and a little self help advice.

We often see Comedians put out interesting and funny books. This is the one that you need to actually pick up and take home.

The audio narration, editing and production was top notch. Highly recommend.

Im a 20 year old man.

Given my age and sex, I doubt I'm Sarah's target audience but this book is fantastic! Every chapter had me laughing. She has a great talent for mixing together funny anecdotes with great advice and serious solutions to serious problems. Couldn't stop listening!

Funny and thought provoking

A brilliant listen .
Sarah’s unique views on life made for an excellent book. She is funny and down to earth, risqué in places and totally honest in her observations.
I really enjoyed listening to this audible book

Genuine and a nice story, but not too funny

I was slightly disappointed with the story. I bought the book based on the reviews as I wanted something light hearted that would make me laugh. The written text is sort of entertaining but not one that made me laugh out loud. What I did like about it was how genuine and down to earth Sarah is.

Honest & Funny

Not for the faint hearted but incredibly funny and very honest. I felt as If I’d been through a few hours of counselling !!! Despite it being Sarah’s bio, a lot resonated with me. Thoroughly enjoyable listen.

Absolutely fabulous. Makes me love her even more!

Wonderful book by a wonderful lady. I have listened to this on trains, trams and planes across Italy. I got engaged and turned 40 (we were only away 8 nights - not 2 decades!) and I will remember this book as the 3rd perk! I laughed out loud and nodded my head in agreement with the comments and advice on going from divorced to single to marrying again. And to turning 40! Roll on getting home so I can rescue my bananas. Looking forward to seeing Sarah on tour in Nottingham.

Disappointing but probably my fault

I'd seen her on TV on programs like Would I Lie To You? ...I live in Australia...and she was funny and likeable, and the site recommended the title to me, however I found it overly crude and without the subtlety of the greats of English comedy over the years. They didn't need to be "in your face" like this. My mistake in not doing my homework, I guess.
