Summary

Gradually, he eased me back until my head rested on the pillows. He stroked my hair from my face, his gaze meeting mine with hot tenderness. He bent forward and captured my lips again, his tongue tracing their outline with maddening gentleness. His hand found its way back to my breast but this time he slipped his fingers under the neckline of my dress and beneath the silky fabric of my bra.

It was like an electric shock when he grasped my nipple between his thumb and forefinger and tweaked it. My hips reared off the bed and a moan scraped from my throat. Oh, God, I could feel the...

Sexy and with a happy ending...or two ;)

Would you consider the audio edition of Billionaire Romance: The Billionaire & The Babysitter to be better than the print version?

To me Lissa Blackwellis Legendary. Her enactment, tempo, and changing speech patterns for each individual is distinct and engaging. I do not believe the print version is any less compared to the audiobook but I will say Lissa adds a new dimension to the novel that cannot be appraised enough and would suggest to any reader to give the audio version a try.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Thais book is also in a 5 book collection which I highly recommend ! my favorite charecter in this book was oddly for me ,Jake. He did'nt have my vote the whole way through but he redeemed himself and most of his actions gradualy .Simone Carter really does know her audience and what to do .this is not had rcore erotica ,its sweet and nice and ofcourse steamy but not overly so.

Have you listened to any of Lissa Blackwell’s other performances? How does this one compare?

yes and she rocked it yet again.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I think the tragedy struck home and the whole story had me gripped .

The complete package in this gem!

A little suspense, family complete with children, murder and murderous intentions, sex, romance and even humour are all jam packed into this slightly longer than three hour story. It is amazing how all the details have been carefully balanced and crafted so that the reader doesn't feel like there is too much of one and/or not enough of the other, which can often happen with shorter books. Jenna and Jake's story is easy to listen to, a little suspenseful, and a lot sexy. Lissa Blackwell has narrated it well, comfortably bringing the two points of view to life. Overall enjoyable!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

A new twist on the babysitter trope

This is a great new twist on the babysitter trope! The story developed organically. With the murder of his brother and his wife, Jake goes to take care of his young niece and nephew. Then falls for- you guessed it- the nanny! (Come on y’all, that’s not a spoiler)
They are still on the hunt for the person who murdered the brother and sis-in-law. A lot of times, the romance can feel forced in a short book with the who killed them added in (or the mystery feels forced, one or the other) but here, Miss Carter blends the two as if they rely on each other instead of them feeling like they are tossed in to add to it. In three hours, I would guess this would be hard to achieve in the seamless manner.
Lissa Blackwell is a dream performer. She did a great job lending her talent to both the adult and the children’s voices.

Really Difficult one to Review

This audio book was provided by the author, narrator, or producer for an honest review by AudioBoom.

I bounced back and forth on what I thought of this book. For some reason I really disliked Jake (H)...I had a hard time getting past it and luckily the very last chapter finally made me have some faith in him.
The h, was sweet and wonderful with the children she was a nanny for, but her falling for the H really so easily I didn't really like.
The first sex scene just seemed to use some juvenile language and then changed to more adult language....I honestly rolled my eyes at times.
There was real potential here, close having another star or two...the mystery in the story was good. Just some of the dialogue didn't fly well in the story.
The narrator was excellent..I certainly would listen to her again.

Pleasing Romance

Any additional comments?

I received a copy of this book free from the author though Audiobook Boom for an honest review.
This was an enjoyable listen. The concept was good enough to warrant a deeper content than the 3+ hours allowed but the author did well in creating the atmosphere and giving enough details to not feel any large gaps.
The narrator did well although her voice sounded very young.
I found it an easy, enjoyable listen with a mystery and not a lot of angst. I always like a HEA ending.

Could not finish the book

The female lead was very judgmental and whiny, mad the book hard to listen to. She sounded like a child, couldn't make it pass chapter 4

Short, but sweet and sexy

Would you consider the audio edition of Billionaire Romance: The Billionaire & The Babysitter to be better than the print version?

For this I can't say, because I have never read the print version, but I will say that the narrator did an awesome job with this book. It is always enjoyable when the person narrating the story enhances it in some way.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the fact that although it was short, I didn't feel like I was missing anything. The plot didn't feel rushed and the characters didn't feel underdeveloped. I know it has to be hard to do that when the story is a long as it could have been.

Still, at the end I wanted more. Not necessarily of the same characters, but this opened the gates for secondary characters to have a story.

Have you listened to any of Lissa Blackwell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is a first for me narrated by Lissa Blackwell, but it will definitely not be my last.

Good Three hour listen

The book was given to me via audiobook boom in exchange for an unbiased review. Jake was not likable at the beginning and I thought I was not going to like the story. But the final chapter helped me to change my opinion. the narrator was very good and helped to make the story. I like the way the h cared for the children and finally got her happily ever after.

Harlequin/Silhouette meets ladies porn, mystery.
