Story
Many people across the world believe in an ape-like humanoid creature who is covered with hair and walks on two legs. Those who claim to have seen this creature generally say that he has reddish-brown hair, is approximately seven to 10 feet tall, has a conical-shaped head, emits a powerfully obnoxious stench, and has enormous, human-like feet. In the United States, this creature is known as the Sasquatch or Bigfoot. He is attested to in Native American myths and legends that speak of giants, as well as in eyewitness accounts that predate the birth of the country.

Summary
Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yowie, Yeti...the idea that monstrous man-apes lurk in the remote forests and high mountain valleys of the world is an enduring and popular one. Hardly a week goes by without some report of a fresh encounter.
In 1793 the Boston Gazette reported a sighting of what the Cherokee call a "chickly cuddly" or "hairy man thing". In 1818 the Watchman recorded the visit of a "Wild Man of the Woods". Ever since, hundreds of eyewitness accounts of a giant, elusive beast that stands upright on its hind legs have come flooding in.
One creature was seen trying to catch a calf in a farmer's field; a group of them used rocks to pound the walls of a remote cabin. More recently, four teenagers in rural America were startled when a huge hairy creature landed on the roof of their car.
Bigfoot takes a fresh look at the man-apes reported to exist in North America, South America, Australia, the Himalayas and Central Asia. It examines historic sightings as well as up-to-date ones - and poses the crucial question: are they really out there?

Really enjoyed it
It’s definitely one of the better big foot books I’ve read. The author actually lays out all the different beliefs for the existence of Big Foot without much prejudice until the end. Then he tells you his beliefs and why. I really enjoyed it as a skeptic and a believer because I am both.

The book is interesting, but the CONSTANT conversions from feet to centimeters or meters is extremely annoying and distracts from the stories a lot. To the point that, at times, it makes it difficult to listen to.

Annoyed The Crap Out of Me
Would you try another book from Rupert Matthews and/or Nick Landrum?
It starts out alright but every single time he says ANYTHING in relevance to a measurement, he says what it is also in metric. For example: "The creature was about 6 feet, 183 centimeters, talls and about 15 feet, 5 yards, away and crossed the clearing to other side which was 1,000 feet, 1/3 of a kilometer, away." I'm not kidding. I never wanted to punch an author right in the beak so bad in my life.

Too Dry
The author seems to think he has to do a verbal conversion from feet to centimeters. It gets annoying very quickly. Let the listeners do their own conversations. Also, if you are going to read something like this, put some excitement in your voice. We are talking about a potentially dangerous creature.

Enough with the measurement conversions
As I did enjoy the stories, I did not enjoy the measurement conversions with every single story. It really took away from the book and became quite annoying. You may want to consider a redo less the conversions, use either one or the other to improve the review ratings.
