Summary
A foreign prince on the run, a local girl in a serious jam, and a ’65 Mustang headed for Georgia. What could go wrong?
Leo: How my brother talked me into ditching our security team and embarking on this ridiculous adventure, I haven’t a clue. But it’s my duty to keep the idiot safe - something made even more difficult now that we’re stranded in the middle of nowhere with a local mechanic as our only hope. But this wrench-wielding beauty has problems of her own and a smile that might make me forget my obligations entirely.
Ruby: With one look at Leo Baxter, I know down to my cherry-painted toenails that he and his pain-in-the ass brother are nothing but trouble. Given my family’s dire circumstances, however, I’ve got little choice but to take these rich country-club rejects up on their offer. A fat stack of cash in exchange for a ride through the mountains. How bad could it be?
Between a Rock and a Royal is book one in a duet and is not a stand-alone title. To complete Leo and Ruby's story, download Blue Bloods and Backroads (book 2).

Royally Fun
This was such a cute love story, with a couple of handsome royals and one adorably quirky southern girl. The adventures were great, and who doesn’t love Stella!

Opposites attract book 1
Small cliffhanger you’ll want the next book, “Blue Bloods and Backroads.”
This book is an adventure once it gets going. I really enjoyed the characters and the story was fun. Some heated scenes. The narration was good. I was unsure about the accents at first but I ended up liking them. 🎧Audiobook Obsession

AHHH Cliffhanger
Megan Moses, does a wonderful job of narrating this brilliant book.
If you read the reviews you will see them very mixed, Story and English accent. Sylvie Stewart is a brilliant witter and I have always enjoyed reading and listening to her books. This book is no different.
We have misunderstanding , romance and fun.

Great romcom
Loved the story of this adventurous road trip that Mal and Leo set on. Meeting Ruby sparks an attraction between her and Leo but the brothers don't reveal their true identities. Ending with a cliffhanger so I'll be listening to the next instalment. Excellent narration throughout.

Cliffhanger (2 book story line)
Meagan Moses does an excellent job bringing the story alive. I generally prefer dual narration for dual points of view, but with the separate accents for each character it was really easy to keep them straight.
I've listened to other books by Sylvie Stewart and this one seemed significantly different from the others. I found the characters to be less relatable for me personally, but no less funny.
I would recommend this audiobook to listeners who like rom coms, but make sure you have Blue Bloods and Backroads available to start right away. I would actually have preferred them to be combined into one book.

Between a rock and half a book
A little bit disappointed that this is only half the book. I was already struggling with the iffy’English’ accent and I’m not sure I want to pay for the other half of the same book.

loved!
I really enjoyed this book. the narrator did a great job with the different voices and accents. I really connected with all characters involved and Malcom mad me smile with his antics.
I do not care for cliffhangers though! will be reading the next book to see what happens.

Hilarious
This audiobook had me laughing. The plot was unusual. A royal prince from a European country falling for a outspoken Southern mechanic woman. Leo and his twin Malcolm came to the U.S. for an adventure evading their security detail and not revealing who they truly are to Ruby.
Narrator Meagan Moses was absolutely perfect. She flawlessly had posh English accents for the princes and a southern drawl for Ruby. This book ends in a cliffhanger so I can't wait for book two.

Truly Funny
This is a really funny story but also touching. Leo changed, even if it was for a little while, because of Ruby who is just a down to earth funny woman.

A Money Grab
This was fun, right up until I realized this isn't an actual book. A book has a beginning, plot and conclusion. This book just introduces the characters sets up a plot and ends. No conclusion. Which makes this a money grab. You buy the book and if you want to keep reading, pay more money. I was enjoying this but not enough to play the game and continue.

Between a Rock and a Royal
Although this is not one of my favorites written by Sylvie Stewart, it was still enjoyable enough that it leaves me curious as to how this story will end. I am intrigued enough to that I will be listening to the next book to see. The narration was done really well. The southern accent was really good.

Great Rom-Com
What a fun story! Witty and well-written, definitely worth your time. As well, it's an easy listen. The narrator has a pleasing voice, and does a great job with voices. I'll be listening to this one again!

Culture shock
4.5 stars. This was my first time reading/listening to this author. Her writing style is very clever. It’s fast paced and quick witted with wonderful banter. The only reason I didn’t give this five stars is it ends with a cliffhanger. The second book is already out, but I hate cliffhangers. I’ve started the next one. It’s not the most believable storyline, but it’s called fiction. It’s very entertaining. I really enjoyed the narrator. She was also new to me. I struggle with single narration sometimes, but she did a great job.

Leo and Ruby end with a misunderstanding
Road Trip. 2 guys who happen to be prince's from a country not many had heard of, but the future king wanted to visit the Carolina's and they lost their vehicle and ended up in a bar in Ruby's little town. Malcolm was intoxicated and being obnoxious when she left. She was gettting in her car where she was scared to death by who she thought was Malcolm but there was something different about him but she had hurt her ankle so she was very upset and her ankle puffed up she couldn't even drive herself home but Leo came to the rescue to take her home. They had to stay the night at the auto shop, where Malcolm decided the next day that he wanted to use Ruby and Ruby's car for their rode trip. Ruby and Leo seem to become close very quickly. Book 1 of this series. Enjoyed the characters. I own an audible copy. I am providing an honest review.

More, please
Sylvie Stewart still rocks writing romance. Can't wait to know how Ruby gets her HEA.
And what about Malcolm? Will he find the one for him? Or maybe he just needs a babysitter. lol
