Successful Marin County, CA financier Andy Barlow is training in the cold San Francisco Bay for a competitive open water swim. Unexpectedly, his support boat runs him over midstroke, killing the swimmer instantaneously. Consumed with grief and anger, Andy’s college-aged son Harrison, returns from London to probe what really happened. Although the local sheriff’s office calls the tragedy an accident, Harrison refuses to believe their findings. He reaches out to amateur sleuth Trisha Carson to hunt down the real killer.

Trisha digs into the man’s history and finds fractured relationships in his family, his business, and his marriage. There’s clearly more than one person who had reason to seek a deadly revenge, but would they go as far as murder?

An infinitely intriguing story with the right blend of mystery and hold-your-breath action. I loved Trisha, her sisterly squabbles with Lena, and her bravery and perseverance. Oona Maya’s narration made this wonderful book even better.

Infinitely intriguing.

This is an excellent second book in the Trisha Carson series. It is fast paced and action packed. The characters are well developed and the main characters carry over from Dead Code, book 1 and are like old friends. Well worth a listen but I'd recommend listening to book 1 first as although it works as a stand alone there is a slight back story. Oona Maya's narration is once again outstanding with her enthusiasm and own enjoyment of the story evident in her narration. Highly Recommended.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the narrator and leave this honest review voluntarily.

Excellent.
