She trusted the man she loved. It was the most dangerous things she had ever done …

A gripping story of gangs, drugs, girls and unbreakable bonds. Perfect for fans of Martina Cole and Mandasue Heller.

No one can touch Del Williams – the hardest gangster in Soho. He’s got the monopoly on the drug deals and the girls – it’d be a mistake to underestimate him. The only person he’d take a bullet for is tough, beautiful Bunny Barker, mother of their daughter Star.

Bunny is determined to shield Star from ‘life’ but Del has a lot of enemies. When a familiar face appears from their past, their family is put into terrible danger. Can Bunny protect Star from the shadows of her own past, and her very worst nightmare?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would recommend this audiobook to a friend as I really enjoy the story line by Jacqui Rose in Betrayed. I have listened to this author many times and really enjoyed all the stories and the narrator Annie Aldington is great.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bunny, Del and Star were my favourite characters. I suppose if I had to chose I would say Bunny as I found her character interesting and I liked the way her story unfolds.

Which character – as performed by Annie Aldington – was your favourite?

Again, difficult to choose as Annie Aldington is epic in her story telling, I find her voice comforting and know I am in for a great listen with her. I think Star was a brilliant character performed by Annie.

Any additional comments?

I have read a lot of books and only came across this author on Audiobooks. I love listening/reading Martina Cole and Mandasue Heller and think these books are great and gripping. I have not found one I have not enjoyed yet.

Really enjoyed this one, I must admit I think it could have been 2hrs shorter as it does take a long time to get into it but it’s still an enjoyable listen. I finished this in 24hrs as I couldn’t stop listening. One negative for me is the character Star who is the daughter of Dale and Bunny really annoyed me, I just found her really irritating.
