Critic reviews

"Recallilng childhood, falling in love, missing the sounds of the waves and gulls in Metro-land, lusting after Joan Hunter Dunn - it's all put over with his uniquely engaging brand of truthfulness" ( The Scotsman)

Proper Poetry

This is proper poetry from a master poet. Not like the modern rubbish which neither rhymes nor scans.

Groundbreaking and Inspiring

Sir John Betjeman is a groundbreaking and inspiring pioneer.

It is more better and more profound, that with his work, it is more easier to hear the sound of his voice, while listening to him.

To me, he is a walking institution or a locomotive, rushing forth, applying commentary with lyrical and poetic realities, regarding our lives, our livelihoods and pleasantries.

This is definitely a work worth listening to, timelessly.

This work never gets old and it never dies.

Sublime Betjeman

Any additional comments?

The voice of dear John Betjeman is the best way to enjoy his wonderful words. Particularly enjoyable are the little comments and thoughts between the poems. A real delight.
