Eleştirmen yorumları

Quite simply the best debut novel I've ever read. (Tess Gerritsen)
Brilliant in its pacing, profound in its central question, suspenseful on every page - and satisfying in its thriller ending. (Anita Shreve)
A deft, perceptive exploration of a fascinating neurological condition, and a cracking good thriller. (Lionel Shriver)
A terrific first novel - well-written, genuinely unsettling and psychologically very plausible. Thrillers seldom come much better than this. Loved it, read it in one (Joanne Harris)
An exceptional thriller. It left my nerves jangling for hours after I finished the last page (Dennis Lehane)
So high-concept, so ambitious and so structurally brilliant. It's so rare to read a thriller that's perfect in every detail, but this one definitely qualifies! (Sophie Hannah)
A deeply unsettling debut that asks the most terrifying question - what do you have left when you lose yourself? (Val McDermid)
A truly amazing debut. The central character, Christine, is beautifully drawn. It's hard to imagine a more compelling, believable and sympathetic portrayal of a damaged human being. I loved it from start to finish. (Mo Hayder)

This was compelling listening, I recommend you don't start listening until you have a 10hour slot in your diary! Although I suspected, correctly, the ending there were enough twists & turns to keep me hooked. A great novel and I didn't want it to end- in fact I'd really like one more chapter please! Very good reader too.

No chance of sleeping with this one...

Keeps you guessing right the way up until the end; the tension as the reader gets one step ahead of Christine towards the end of the book had me biting my nails. Warm but chilling, this book will stay with me for a long time.

Dark, stunning and unexpected

The common theme of this story results in repetition, that is the paradox. A bit serious in audio delivery, but still a good listen for some escapism. Makes you wonder about your own life and whether we shoudl all keep a diary - just in case. Nice, but predictable twist.

Tedious

Twists and turns in every chapter and that was only my predictions.

Read by the lovely Susannah Harker (Pride & Prejudice's Jane Bennett) at an infuriating slow pace...but that's my impatience wanting to know the outcome.

Definitely worth your time.

Is she? Is he? Did she? Did he? or perhaps he did?
