About this listen

Now a major motion picture.

They say 'live every day as if it's your last' - but you never actually think it's going to be. At least I didn't. The thing is, you don't get to know when it happens. You don't remember to tell your family that you love them or - in my case - remember to say goodbye to them at all.

But what if, like me, you could live your last day over and over again? Could you make it perfect? If your whole life flashed before your eyes, would you have no regrets? Or are there some things you'd want to change?

This book was amazing in all ways and Sarah did a fantastic job of narrating with her voice changing for the characters and she was great for getting the tone right with all positions needed in the book. This is one of those books that will stay with people after listening/reading.

Amazing!

This is a brave book. It takes an arresting concept and executes it well, especially for its YA audience.

If you find yourself really not enjoying this book and not liking the protagonist or any of her friends much at the start, bear with it, since this is the point. I nearly gave up after the first hour or two but read a few reviews and decided to stay with it. Very quickly after that, it all clicked into place. For the character and story arc, we need to give her space. The author understands she had to be flawed to begin with; otherwise, how could she grow? Like us all, she is flawed, human and sometimes unkind or thoughtless; this just makes it more interesting. It's also a bit of a meditation on mindfulness.

An interesting read that has far more depth and substance than on first appearance – a metaphor for all of us perhaps, and giving everyone a chance, and taking time to be present in the moment of our lives with the people we love. Skilfully sculpted.

An arresting concept that gains momentum

I watched the film and I just wanted to know how the book panned out. It was honestly so real and relatable. A few tears but other than that it is an amazing thing to read/listen to! Would recommend!!

Eye opening

I love this story! If you like YA stories like 13 Reasons Why and Every Last Word, you'll like this. Great story, a little cringey at times maybe, but that's probably because I'm an adult reading a book detailing a teenagers thoughts and feelings. Good characterisations and good plotline, clearly and competently delivered by the reader: can't ask for much else.

One of those stories you can just listen to again and again

It's truly a beautiful book. You'll cry and laugh and hopefully fall in love with Kent. It's a perfect story and really eye opening. I'm gonna to re-read it forever. Sad though
