Arghhh this was great, I forgot how good this series is and now I want to go back to the start of this and the Bargainer series again, (oh the struggles of a reader - to keep going back to amazing stories or try and make a dent in the never ending TBR!) I love Memnon and the way he is reminds me of what Zangief says in Wreck It Ralph - "just because you are a badguy, doesn't mean you're a bad guy" he is NO angel but he's not all bad either, plus he's just great and I love how he loves Selene, it's all the "burn the world down" "mine" obsessive, possessive, devoted, soul mate stuff I'm a sucker for, and Selene is one of my favourite FMC's I think, her inner thoughts still have me cackling, this story and their romance just sweeps me away, I love how their story captivates me and how this all wrapped up, listening on audio this is dual narration with Stella Bloom narrating most of it and yet again she does an amazing job, Shane East does a little bit from Memnon's POV too (also very good)

I genuinely didn’t expect to be this emotional finishing this series. I’ve been reading Selene and Memnon’s story for years, and after everything these two have been through across multiple lifetimes, saying goodbye to them actually hurts.

This was such a beautiful ending to their story. Seeing Memnon and Selene finally get the life they’ve been fighting for after 2,000 YEARS was everything. They went from loving each other, losing each other, being separated by curses and betrayal, to finally getting their happily ever after.
