About this listen

From international bestselling author Anthony Horowitz (Midsummer murders, Foyles war, Alex Rider, Hawthorne) and Sarah Naughton, comes a trilogy featuring one of literatures most famous characters. Immerse yourself in the world of Sherlock Holmes, like you have never heard it before. The Red Circle, is the first installment of the trilogy 'Becoming Sherlock', set in a dystopian London in the near future. At the same time as a passenger plane goes down in central London, Dr. Watson finds a man naked and beaten on the street. The man has no memory of his past but seems to have exceptional skills of deduction. This is the start of a mystery that unravels rapidly with one burning question at its heart: Who is Sherlock Holmes? What listeners have said: -- 'Tremendous read, a unique time and setting for Mr Holmes and Doc Watson. Well worth a read. Really enjoyed the story and the performance.
Some storyline errors, gas light and mobile phones and who bred all the horses?
Take it with a pinch of salt, enjoyed all the references to past Holmes stories.
Will continue with the sequels

Dystopian with plot holes

I went between enjoying the story and then not feeling totally involved- - maybe two authors is a bit of a compromise - so that neither one shines? But The narrator - Alfred Enoch - was truly wonderful. I have listened to hundreds of books - and he is right up there with the very best - maybe THE best ( and so young too!)

Amazing narration
