Summary
Becoming Magic is book one of a complete course in becoming creator of your own exceptional life. In this book, I outline the exact steps which enabled me to move my own life from one of poverty and drudgery, to one of previously unimaginable wealth, purpose and joy. But Magic? I do hope you are joking! That's what I would have said, five or ten years ago. I once despised all things 'New-Age'; all these spiritual types and their airy-fairy views, their bad science and their irrational beliefs. I had read The Secret and all the Law of Attraction greats, Wallace Wattles, Anthony Robbins, Rhonda Byrne, Napoleon Hill, Esther Hicks and Wayne Dyer. But no matter how closely I followed their instructions for manifesting money, love or happiness, I couldn't make it work. It was only when I recognised, accepted and finally embraced that what I was doing was actually some kind of Magic that suddenly things began to fall into place. Once I realised that the power came from within me, it was as if the light had suddenly been switched on. I learned how to manifest love and money, but I also learned how to be happy, truly happy. If you're jaded by the whole New Age idea of The Laws of Attraction, have become bored by their failure to deliver this book is for you. It is my intention to lead you by the hand through a marvellous journey of wonder and adventure, teaching you how to change your life, one step at a time.

Unrealistic for most people
What made the experience of listening to Becoming Magic the most enjoyable?
I enjoy listening to different approaches to using law of attraction, and this author has obviously mastered her own way.
I enjoyed some of the unique methods taught, which were fun to do.
Has Becoming Magic put you off other books in this genre?
No, I prefer other L of A authors
How could the performance have been better?
Totally.
The narrator sounded like she was reading a story to 5 year olds, not delivering a powerful self help book to adults.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Snap back was interesting
Any additional comments?
I have now listened to all 3 Magic books. I didn't like the arrogance of the author in her scathing opinion of other L of A authors, however, this was obviously from her own frustrations and realisation of her own effective approach.
About her approach. It is probably most useful for people who are largely sorted financially and emotionally and just want a more fun and interesting life.
For anyone who is in a desperate situation in need of real guidance for powerful and realistic help today, I don't recommend this book.
Her process is for those who aren't in a hurry, and have little to lose 'giving it a go'
For example, she suggests you take your focus on what you don't want and to 'trust' the Universe will bring what you need and to get on with other things. Try telling that to someone with the bailiffs knocking at their door. Unrealistic.
A good book though and glad I listened to all 3

Refreshing Honesty
I have read all the recommended books Think and Grow Rich, The Attractor Factor, The Law of Attraction etc etc etc. I did as I was told....
Something was missing, it was sort of happening but my gut feeling was telling me that something was missing in me. Why couldn't I get it right. Why did sometimes it go so very wrong? They make it sound as is we should all just be able to just do it.
So back I went to Amazon, no more books to read or listen to that said anything different. It had to be me. I have had experience of NLP in the past with great results so I started down that road again. Did I have limiting beliefs that were holding me back? I made an appointment in 3 days time. Meanwhile I thought why not listen to these Magic books, they are cheap and something to listen to for the next couple of days. I downloaded all three!!!! WOW I was not expecting that.....
They make sense of all the previous books. Once I had listened to Becoming Magic I understood completely what I needed to do first, and that also included not listening to Doing Magic. I felt normal and capable of starting the process with practical doable guidance. Whether you are an old hand at this or a complete beginner it makes no difference this first book is a little treasure. The narrator has a beautiful clear voice which is easy and a pleasure to listen to. This book puts the common sense back into this thing we are all able to do. It answered all of my questions. Sometimes you get more than you pay for!!

A bit short for the price
The narration was very good -- but it's a bit short to spend a whole credit on.
She says that she's not making any money from this book -- if this is true then I raise a glass to her for setting a new ethical standard. :)
HOWEVER
I'm probably going to return it --- the content isn't bad, but it's not exactly groundbreaking or new, and considering that the running time is under 90 minutes it isn't really worth the price.
All three volumes for one credit; that would be better.

A very long introduction
This amounted to a very long and vague introduction, and two pieces of advice: stop whining and start a gratitude journal. The author says she donates all profits from this book to charity - I sincerely hope that's true, because else it's a swindle.

Does not actually teach you anything
The first hour on the book tells me about the book what it does and doesn't . It told me what I need to do without telling me the vital part of telling ho. The last 20mins was the only part worth listening to. It's LOA for total newbies.

Too short
This book is a bit short, compared to the hours of listening you can usually get for one credit. I didn't realise the whole series was divided up into 4 books, although this is explained in the description. I think, for one credit you should get all of them. Please re-consider!

Inspirational
Having read quite a few books on the Law of Attraction, Genevieve makes so much sense. What she teaches is beautifully simple, yet still challenging for most of us. I bought this book after reading Becoming Magic because I related so much to how she felt at certain points of her life. I'll be reading - and following through - on the rest of her books.

Excellent and refreshing!
Even though this is a very short book it refreshingly keeps the points made short and sweet. It's very clear and easy to digest and unlike some other listeners I had no issue with the narrator at all.
Highly recommend this book.
