Engrossing story with well drawn characters!

Any additional comments?

This was very well written and beautifully narrated. Its a tale with many layers and a few twists. There wasn't a wasted sentence here, so I never wanted to put it down. Some reviewers said it was great until the last couple of chapters, which they didn't like. I was very happy (though surprised) by how it turned out. It was all plausible and perfectly satisfying.

Not as good I hoped

I was hoping for another 'girl on the train' type story based on the glowing reviews of others. I'm afraid that I didn't find the story gripping. I was interested enough to listen to the end, but actually felt the ending lacked credibility. There is a fair bit of sex in the book, but again, it didn't really work for me.

Great psychological thriller.

Because She Loves Me is the first book by Mark Edwards that I have read and I really enjoyed it.

The suspense factor starts to creep into the book slowly builds to a crescendo about 3/4 of the way through. I love that steady even progression of tension.

The only thing keeping this was being a 5-star read is that I was disappointed in the explanations for one or two of the incidents

I would still recommend Because She Loves Me to all fans of psychological suspense/psychological thrillers.

the female voice and accent was a litte bit annoying but in general pleasant audio book.

the power of love

this had me hooked from the very beginning, then the twists and turns took me on a rollercoaster ride. there's a fine line between lust, love and obsession - and also between trust and doubt, strength and fragility when fed by manipulation.

Gripping story with twists and turns

Wasn’t sure how this story would go. I was addicted to listening to it and it never got slow. Never guessed what was next as the writer clearly didn’t want you know till the end. Excellent book. Highly recommend it. A great audio book

Bunny boilers as a love story

The first part is very good as a thriller, the characters work and the feeling of impending disaster increase at a good pace then all of the sudden a mention of bad spirits and auras, then back to normal till the writer informs us that a huge bit of information that was missing from the original story, and no more mention of spirits or auras, then the twists begin to happen fast and furious but if you stop for a second to think the holes in the story begin to accumulate to the point where the last chapters are just explaining how it all went so crazy.

I would have loved this story if it had persisted in its first form, but the second part is just a mess that would require require religious degrees of credulity to accept as even possible.

The sound in this book was not good but the reading was ok, I think having a female actor play the women would have help to make it more realistic, the reader is not good at female voices.
