Summary

A sexy small-town, wounded-hero rom com!

Sawyer Landry knows he’s been beastly to be around for the past few months. But he can’t seem to remember how to be fun-loving and friendly. Until he sees Juliet Dawson on his boat dock...and realizes that hip waders are, apparently, one of his turn-ons. But despite the beauty in the boots, the last thing he needs right now is a city girl in his way for the next two weeks. But he’s not really getting a vote. Juliet is determined that her little brother rebuild the dock he and his idiot friends smashed. She’s quirky, klutzy, independent...and possibly an even bigger pessimist than Sawyer is. He’s incredibly drawn to the cynical fish-out-of-water, who seems to be the one person who isn’t intimidated by his growling. The big, gruff boat captain is the first person in a long time to want to watch out for her, and Juliet finds that hotter than his grandma’s jambalaya. Well, that, and his sexy scar, his emotional baggage, and the sense of humor and fun that is buried deep.

But Sawyer doesn’t need any more people to worry about long-term, and the things that make him feel protective of Juliet aren’t going to go away. So, this two-week adventure can’t be anything more than a fling. With Juliet down on the bayou, there’s an even bigger threat than alligators and hurricanes. There’s the very good chance of someone ending up with a broken heart.

Sawyer and Juliet

The books in this series just keeps getting and better. The first book is awesome and this one is just over the top, so far it is my favorite book. Both Sawyer and Juliet have their own issues and demons to work through, the beauty of their relationship is that they work well together and through them together. I found myself laughing out loud at most of the situations these two found themselves in, and loving their passion for each other. Both the narrators did an outstanding job in bringing this book to life. Highly recommend!!

Awesome!

I loved this book, it was really good. It made me laugh many times and shook my head others, because these characters are a handful.

This story of Juliette and Sawyer was filled with many great life lessons that I will always remember. Both of them were battling their own demons and insecurities, but together they're a perfect match and they help each other in many ways, they were what the other one needed, they complemented each other so perfect .

Now, for the narration; OMG it was simply perfec, I love Gregory Salinas voice, he has an amazing tone and paced. Ramona Master was also amazing, she portrayd the characters emotions so perfect you could really feel them. Both did a perfect job with this audiobook.

Quirky, Warm and 5 Stars!

I received this audiobook via a promo code at my request from The Flock and this is my honest voluntary review.

Book 3 in the Boys of Bayou stories and Sawyer Landry has been having a tough time lately. He's felt like he let everyone down after the death of a close friend and business partner and he's been a changed man, obsessed with the safety and worse case scenario to the point of driving his family crazy. When some frat boys steal an airboat and crash it into his dock, he's less than thrilled when the rich boys sister, Juliet shows up, hanging off the end of his marina... until he sees her in those waders and safety goggles! Bayou Swamp Boat and Fishing Tours need their dock repaired and Juliet has put her foot down, insisting that her wayward brother get his hands dirty and they rebuild it alongside the Bayou crew in the hopes being around the Landry Clan's work ethic and good family values will make the younger Dawson less entitled than their older brothers and set him on a good path.

Sawyer wasn't thrilled about the idea, but those steel toe-capped boots and her lil hi viz safety vest seem to be winning him over, and Mr Grouchy Doom n Gloom of the Big Easy begins falls hard. Juliet and her acordian files, planning and hard hat are the perfect match for Sawyer.

This was a lovely light read.

It's official

I'm head over heels for this series! The people, the chemistry.. Each book I read, I'm thinking THAT couple is my favorite. That is, until I read the next book. And let me tell you.. Sawyer and Juliette are really something! I had been looking forward to Sawyers story, and curious as to who/what kind lf person he'd end up being paired with. And Juliette is just the perfect match, with her background and story, and how she pulled through despite it all. Damn girl. The chemistry between Sawyer and her is just.. wow. Listen to this, it is worth every minute.

Sexy and Healing

This is Sawyer and Juliet's story, one about a story damaged man learning to heal from the past with a beautiful woman who has her own dark past to heal from. They both work hard to help each other, while finding a great balance with the other! I love their story!! Juliet is this super smart, klutzy, safety conscious, gorgeous woman who is determined to force her brother to make up for his mistakes. Sawyer just wants his family, friends, and customers to be safe and to listen to his warnings. Sawyer was so not prepared for the appearance of Juliet, but soon as Maddie predicted, Sawyer is distracted in a big way by the odd and beautiful Juliet.

Ramona Master and Gregory Salinas both did fabulous on this book! I enjoyed the story and was pulled into it without realizing how much I was!! It was so impressive! Great story I would recommend it as well as the whole amazing series!! #FlamingoProductions #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Can anyone ever make Sawyer happy? Like he was?

Beauty and the Bayou by Erin Nichols is the third in the Boys of the Bayou series which is a sweet series that takes place in Autre, Louisiana, outside of N'Awlins. Boys of the Bayou is the name of a tour boat business owned by Sawyer and his brother, cousin, and several other partners. He had been making them all nuts for nine months now, ever since his best friend and co-owner, Tommy, had been killed out on the bayou. Since then, he saw danger everywhere and reacted too all of it negatively. They had been putting up with it because they loved him, but now they had found a solution, at least a temporary one: Juliet. Juliet prepared for every eventuality, even ones virtually non-existent. No she was here to help her brother rebuild the dock he had destroyed. Sawyer could not resist. Everyone else could breathe, at least for a time.

Beauty and the Bayou could be read as a stand-alone but why would a reader do that? One of the enticing things about these series is that it is all family and friends oriented and the story continues even though the focus may change. It is about Sawyer and the woman who is perfect for him, and he for her. It is about their connection, both socially and sexually. The sex is hot but the story is more than that. It is about people with real issues and families and how they react through both good and bad. And how they open themselves to new members. It is a fabulous read and I can't wait for the next installment. Reading or listening I recommend it. Please give it a try!

Ramona Master and Gregory Salinas are perfect readers for this book. They alternate and bring life to an already terrific book. The sexy parts are even more sexy for their reading of them. Perfect choice!

I was invited by the author to listen to a free copy of Making Whoopie from Audible. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

my favorite couple in the series!!!

If I could, I would give this book ALL THE STARS!!

I don't even know where to start with what I Iove about this story between Sawyer and Juliet. They are my spirit animals.. "what if", yeah, but...", "it could happen"... these are all things I say and think of on a daily basis. They made my heart happy with how adorable and safety conscious they are.
Sawyer definitely met his perfect match in Juliet and I was all about their funny banter. When Erin wrote this book I swear she was in my head, between the clumsy encounters and the Supernatural reference in Juliet's bedroom and the bat incident, I DIED!!

I already knew I loved this family, but, y'all, I'm adopting them all, takin' up the accent, moving to the Bayou and getting over my fear of all things swampy!

Narration of this book and this couple was perfection. Gregory WAS Sawyer, with that alpha voice and dropping the n at the end of his words in that accent... phew!!
Ramona is new to me (but I swear I've heard her narrate before! ). She was fantastic as Juliet and I need more audio by her !
It's so important for narrators to capture their character, and that's exactly what Gregory and Ramona did!

Deep emotional connection and red-hot combustion!

This rom-com set in a Louisiana bayou is absolutely delightful, including the superb narration! I highly recommend this audiobook to all fans of contemporary romance and rom-coms. The romance tugged at my heart, and the quirky heroine and colorful cast of supporting characters put a big smile on my face. Erin Nicholas has outdone herself with the steam-inducing and intimate love scenes in this book. There are also touching themes of family, emotional healing, and overcoming obstacles in life. This third book in the “Boys of the Bayou” series can be read as a standalone or in order. There is a happy ending, but the couple's wedding is covered in a later book.

The emotionally wounded hero Sawyer Landry loves the bayou and his extended family. However, the accidental death of his best friend 6 months ago really hit Sawyer hard. He became afraid that someone else wouldn’t take all the safety precautions and would die like his friend. Therefore, he has been a grumpy, fussy mess and has lost his fun-loving side. It takes a unique lady in hip-waders visiting his dock to make an impression on Sawyer. Juliet is a smart, feisty woman who takes all kinds of safety precautions and pre-planning to compensate for a slight disability. Juliet and Sawyer are so thoughtful and generous with each other. Their sexual chemistry is off the charts, but the deep connection that Juliet and Sawyer form is extraordinary. This romance is a real experience that will give you all the feelings.

The dual narration was awesome. Ramona Master’s performance was so funny, touching, and unique. She totally brought Juliet to vivid life. Her pacing, emoting, passion, and everything were perfect. Gregory Salinas did a fantastic job as well. Although he didn’t have a Cajun accent for Sawyer, his accents were perfect for everyone else. He was super sexy with this dialogue, especially in the bedroom scenes. His deep, smooth voice was a great match for Sawyer’s tall, fit, hot body. The two narrators really matched each character’s voice really well, maybe better than any other narration pair I have ever heard.

I requested and received a free audiobook copy via #AudiobookObsession, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

Perfect narrators for this sweet, sexy story

This is the third book in the Boys of the Bayou series. This is also my favorite book of this series and having Gregory Salinas and Ramona Master as the narrators for Sawyer and Juliet is just perfection. I love a grouchy damaged hero with a heart of gold and I also love a heroine who is damaged but is still joyful. This book has both! Juliet, along with her brother Chase, come to Autre, Louisiana to help rebuild the boat dock that Chase and his frat brothers destroyed when they stole and crashed an airboat. Juliet believes that Chase needs to be around people who love their families and their jobs and work with their hands to avoid Chase becoming like her rich entitled father and brothers. Building the boat dock seems like a perfect solution. Sawyer Landry is the majority partner in the Boys of the Bayou Swamp Boat Tours - the owners of the destroyed dock - but his partners failed to tell him of the plan for Juliet and Chase to rebuild the dock. The meet cute between Sawyer and Juliet is one of the best I have ever read. Sawyer has been super grouchy and controlling for the last nine months, driving everyone crazy with his doom and gloom safety over-cautiousness. He meets Juliet for the first time while she is looking at his dock while wearing hip waders, a life jacket and a hard hat just to be safe. Sawyer is unaware until that moment that safety attire has become one of his turn ons. The story, like all of the stories in this series, is filled with loud, larger than life characters and situations, along with simmering and overwhelming feelings, all wrapped up in so much love. It has all the feels - sweet moments, fan your face steamy, side splitting hilarity, tearful scenes, and heart squeezing love. Sawyer and Juliet just have to learn that their sharp edges, which are a result of their past traumas, fit beautifully together and together they can overcome their fears in order to find their way to their HEA together. It is so much fun to get immersed in the insanity that is Autre and its inhabitants, that it is sad to finish the book and leave that world behind. Erin Nicholas excels at creating beautiful, rich, loving and fun small towns populated by secondary characters who enhance the main love story rather than crowding or detracting from it and Beauty and the Bayou is further proof. I cannot wait to see what is next for the rest of the Landry family.

This Series Keeps Getting Batter!

This series keeps getting better!
This series is awesome and so fun to listen to! All the characters in this story are great and I just love this family. I loved that we got to visit with the other Bayou boys and their women in his book too. This was a wonderful story of Juliet and Sawyer and him finally getting his life back together since Tommy died. Their story and romance was beautiful. I also enjoyed Juliet's brother Chase's journey. The story was funny, sexy and heartwarming and I can't wait until the next book in the series! This can be listened to as a stand alone but it's more enjoyable if you listened to the series because you can follow the continuing story of the characters!
I loved both narrators in this story. They did a great job for the male and female voices. I especially thought Gregory Salinas was a great voice for Sawyer. #AudiobookObsession #TheFlock

Sweet rom com in the bayou!

Juliet and Sawyer’s story was fantastic. Juliet comes to Autre after her brother destroys the dock, she wants him to help rebuild it and she meets Sawyer. They have instant chemistry, both Sawyer and Juliet are both cautious due to events in both of their pasts and they bond over it. I love how the trust they have in each other and how they are able to help each other through their troubles. The family dynamic in the story is one of my favorite parts throughout this story and I love how they accept Juliet and her brother immediately. Erin wrote a sweet, steamy, funny that will leave you swooning. This is the third book in the Boys of the Bayou series and can be read/listened to as a standalone. The narration was great. Ramona Master and Gregory Salinas are both new to me and did an amazing job of bringing Juliet and Sawyer to life.

Safety made sexy

Wow! I have been a fan of Erin Nicholas forever. I just love the way she writes. She creates these amazing world's that make you want to be a part of and never leave. I love the characters she creates. Some of her characters will forever stay in my heart. Just breathtaking. I love the Boys of Bayou series. Those men are just too much.

In Beauty and the Bayou we finally get Sawyer Landry's story. Sawyer is a hot mess. Sawyer is wound tight and is very frustrating. He is lost. Enter Juliet Dawson. Juliet is a lawyer who volunteers her and her brother to repair the dock her brother destroyed one night. From the moment Sawyer and Juliet meet you can see the chemistry.

The narrators were phenomenal. As they were speaking I was able to follow along. They spoke clearly. Listening made me feel as if I was there just catching up with an old friend. Listening made me able to get my book fix as well as be able to ssf o other things.

In Beauty and the Bayou I felt a range of emotions. My heart broke, I cried, I laughed and had heartswooning moments all from one story. Juliet and Sawyer are truly perfect for each other. The passion they have is beyond this world. The secondary characters are as always phenomenal and I enjoyed catching up with them as well as getting more of the phenomenal Ellie. I just love Ellie. I love how all these characters support one another and are very tight. I love the town of Autre. I even love all animals especially Gus the otter. Erin Nicholas created n amazing world and an even more phenomenal story. I adore this series. I listened to it as I was traveling. If you want a romance that is more than just romance then Beauty and the Bayou is for you. You will laugh, cry, have heartswooning moments, feel a bit of your heart break and even go "oh my". Kudos to you Erin Nicholas.
