Summary

A sexy small-town, wounded-hero rom com!

Sawyer Landry knows he’s been beastly to be around for the past few months. But he can’t seem to remember how to be fun-loving and friendly. Until he sees Juliet Dawson on his boat dock...and realizes that hip waders are, apparently, one of his turn-ons. But despite the beauty in the boots, the last thing he needs right now is a city girl in his way for the next two weeks. But he’s not really getting a vote. Juliet is determined that her little brother rebuild the dock he and his idiot friends smashed. She’s quirky, klutzy, independent...and possibly an even bigger pessimist than Sawyer is. He’s incredibly drawn to the cynical fish-out-of-water, who seems to be the one person who isn’t intimidated by his growling. The big, gruff boat captain is the first person in a long time to want to watch out for her, and Juliet finds that hotter than his grandma’s jambalaya. Well, that, and his sexy scar, his emotional baggage, and the sense of humor and fun that is buried deep.

But Sawyer doesn’t need any more people to worry about long-term, and the things that make him feel protective of Juliet aren’t going to go away. So, this two-week adventure can’t be anything more than a fling. With Juliet down on the bayou, there’s an even bigger threat than alligators and hurricanes. There’s the very good chance of someone ending up with a broken heart.

Sawyer and Juliet

The books in this series just keeps getting and better. The first book is awesome and this one is just over the top, so far it is my favorite book. Both Sawyer and Juliet have their own issues and demons to work through, the beauty of their relationship is that they work well together and through them together. I found myself laughing out loud at most of the situations these two found themselves in, and loving their passion for each other. Both the narrators did an outstanding job in bringing this book to life. Highly recommend!!

Soooo good!!

Sawyer Landry is my favorite out of all the Boys of the Bayou! I love that he’s imperfect and I love his fierce protectiveness. He is an anomaly. He isn’t this perfect guy without flaws like most other main characters in books. He isn’t a cliche. He is flawed, he has scars, he is human! And that made me love him all the more.

Juliet Dawson has issues of her own and she is flawed too and I loved that. It made her seem so much more real! I also loved her determination and drive.

Even though these two had flaws.. they were perfect for each other. They balanced each other out and their flaws worked together to create this amazing and unique connection between them and it was heartstoppingly beautiful! It was their story and it wasn’t perfect but it was perfect for them.

Erin really has a way about bringing characters to life. She creates these unique characters with this amazing way of giving them life, making me feel as if I know them personally and making me miss them after the book is over. I really loved seeing the other couples in the series in this book and seeing them all work together as a team to overcome and conquer.. well just about everything you can imagine. I loved the family vibe and the true “Cajunness” of it all!!

The narrators did an amazing job on these characters. Their voices were smooth and easy to listen to!

It's official

I'm head over heels for this series! The people, the chemistry.. Each book I read, I'm thinking THAT couple is my favorite. That is, until I read the next book. And let me tell you.. Sawyer and Juliette are really something! I had been looking forward to Sawyers story, and curious as to who/what kind lf person he'd end up being paired with. And Juliette is just the perfect match, with her background and story, and how she pulled through despite it all. Damn girl. The chemistry between Sawyer and her is just.. wow. Listen to this, it is worth every minute.

Sawyer!

I LOVE Sawyer, hes not had things easy and the big brooding hunk of a man (you can tell he's a hunk, trust me) needs someone to put a bit of spark back in his life , thanks to a plan from the boys of the Bayou they might have found someone absolutely perfect to try and make that happen, what follows in an unsure but sweet romance .
the narrators did an amazing job and I can't wait to listen to the rest of the series .

Fabulous!

This was a more thoughtful episode in the Bayou series, with sweet Sawyer still working out his anxieties following from Tommy. Juliet is definitely his person! Her what it's match his and enable them both to support each other while finding love. Gregory Salinas and Ramona Masters are excellent in both their roles as narrators, bringing humour and warmth to the story. Loved it, though I don't think I want to go anywhere near all those creatures that live there!! 😱😂💖💖💖💖💖

Juliet and Sawyer!

Sawyer is one of the owners and guides for Bayou Boys Tours but because of his past what used to be his greatest love is his greatest nightmare. All he can think about is all the bad things that could happen rather than enjoying the experience and he passes his feelings onto the clients. The last thing he needs is Juliet and her happy personality making him feel.

When Juliet finds out about her brother’s irresponsible and negligent actions she is determined that he will be held responsible, even if that means that they will be staying in town for two weeks to repair the damage he caused.
From the moment they meet the sparks fly and Juliet sees beyond Sawyer’s short-temper to the man he truly is while Sawyer not only accepted but embraced her personality quirks. What was supposed to be a vacation fling has turned into something much deeper but will it turn into forever?

It was great to not only watch the relationship between Sawyer and Juliet unfold but to also spend time with the Landry clan once again. The narrators were a great match for the characters and the pacing of the narration was spot on.

My Thoughts on Beauty and the Bayou

Just as I suspected, Sawyer was amazing and pretty much impossible to not fall in love with. Even when he’s bossy and overprotective and super intense, it’s still ok because you know it’s coming from a good place. He’s a good person who’s suffered a loss that changed him, but he just wants those he loves to stay safe. Who I ended up loving so much more than I thought possible was Juliet. She wasn’t just a strong and resilient and a good person who was trying to help her brother not become an over indulged jerk. She was this caring, careful, plan ahead for all the right reasons woman. And she was so perfect for Sawyer. His family totally pegged that one right when they met her in the previous book. I loved everything about this story from Juliet and Sawyer’s first introduction to the closing seen that set us up perfectly for the next book.

The narrators did an A++ job as well. I’ve heard both of them before and they are both performers I loved in their previous works so was so happy to hear them again.

This was a truly excellent listen and I cannot wait to hear the next book and everything else by Erin Nicholas I can get my hands on.

Deep emotional connection and red-hot combustion!

This rom-com set in a Louisiana bayou is absolutely delightful, including the superb narration! I highly recommend this audiobook to all fans of contemporary romance and rom-coms. The romance tugged at my heart, and the quirky heroine and colorful cast of supporting characters put a big smile on my face. Erin Nicholas has outdone herself with the steam-inducing and intimate love scenes in this book. There are also touching themes of family, emotional healing, and overcoming obstacles in life. This third book in the “Boys of the Bayou” series can be read as a standalone or in order. There is a happy ending, but the couple's wedding is covered in a later book.

The emotionally wounded hero Sawyer Landry loves the bayou and his extended family. However, the accidental death of his best friend 6 months ago really hit Sawyer hard. He became afraid that someone else wouldn’t take all the safety precautions and would die like his friend. Therefore, he has been a grumpy, fussy mess and has lost his fun-loving side. It takes a unique lady in hip-waders visiting his dock to make an impression on Sawyer. Juliet is a smart, feisty woman who takes all kinds of safety precautions and pre-planning to compensate for a slight disability. Juliet and Sawyer are so thoughtful and generous with each other. Their sexual chemistry is off the charts, but the deep connection that Juliet and Sawyer form is extraordinary. This romance is a real experience that will give you all the feelings.

The dual narration was awesome. Ramona Master’s performance was so funny, touching, and unique. She totally brought Juliet to vivid life. Her pacing, emoting, passion, and everything were perfect. Gregory Salinas did a fantastic job as well. Although he didn’t have a Cajun accent for Sawyer, his accents were perfect for everyone else. He was super sexy with this dialogue, especially in the bedroom scenes. His deep, smooth voice was a great match for Sawyer’s tall, fit, hot body. The two narrators really matched each character’s voice really well, maybe better than any other narration pair I have ever heard.

Perfect narrators for this sweet, sexy story

This is the third book in the Boys of the Bayou series. This is also my favorite book of this series and having Gregory Salinas and Ramona Master as the narrators for Sawyer and Juliet is just perfection. I love a grouchy damaged hero with a heart of gold and I also love a heroine who is damaged but is still joyful. This book has both! Juliet, along with her brother Chase, come to Autre, Louisiana to help rebuild the boat dock that Chase and his frat brothers destroyed when they stole and crashed an airboat. Juliet believes that Chase needs to be around people who love their families and their jobs and work with their hands to avoid Chase becoming like her rich entitled father and brothers. Building the boat dock seems like a perfect solution. Sawyer Landry is the majority partner in the Boys of the Bayou Swamp Boat Tours - the owners of the destroyed dock - but his partners failed to tell him of the plan for Juliet and Chase to rebuild the dock. The meet cute between Sawyer and Juliet is one of the best I have ever read. Sawyer has been super grouchy and controlling for the last nine months, driving everyone crazy with his doom and gloom safety over-cautiousness. He meets Juliet for the first time while she is looking at his dock while wearing hip waders, a life jacket and a hard hat just to be safe. Sawyer is unaware until that moment that safety attire has become one of his turn ons. The story, like all of the stories in this series, is filled with loud, larger than life characters and situations, along with simmering and overwhelming feelings, all wrapped up in so much love. It has all the feels - sweet moments, fan your face steamy, side splitting hilarity, tearful scenes, and heart squeezing love. Sawyer and Juliet just have to learn that their sharp edges, which are a result of their past traumas, fit beautifully together and together they can overcome their fears in order to find their way to their HEA together. It is so much fun to get immersed in the insanity that is Autre and its inhabitants, that it is sad to finish the book and leave that world behind. Erin Nicholas excels at creating beautiful, rich, loving and fun small towns populated by secondary characters who enhance the main love story rather than crowding or detracting from it and Beauty and the Bayou is further proof. I cannot wait to see what is next for the rest of the Landry family.

This Series Keeps Getting Batter!

This series keeps getting better!
This series is awesome and so fun to listen to! All the characters in this story are great and I just love this family. I loved that we got to visit with the other Bayou boys and their women in his book too. This was a wonderful story of Juliet and Sawyer and him finally getting his life back together since Tommy died. Their story and romance was beautiful. I also enjoyed Juliet's brother Chase's journey. The story was funny, sexy and heartwarming and I can't wait until the next book in the series! This can be listened to as a stand alone but it's more enjoyable if you listened to the series because you can follow the continuing story of the characters!
I loved both narrators in this story. They did a great job for the male and female voices. I especially thought Gregory Salinas was a great voice for Sawyer. #AudiobookObsession #TheFlock

Sweet rom com in the bayou!

Juliet and Sawyer’s story was fantastic. Juliet comes to Autre after her brother destroys the dock, she wants him to help rebuild it and she meets Sawyer. They have instant chemistry, both Sawyer and Juliet are both cautious due to events in both of their pasts and they bond over it. I love how the trust they have in each other and how they are able to help each other through their troubles. The family dynamic in the story is one of my favorite parts throughout this story and I love how they accept Juliet and her brother immediately. Erin wrote a sweet, steamy, funny that will leave you swooning. This is the third book in the Boys of the Bayou series and can be read/listened to as a standalone. The narration was great. Ramona Master and Gregory Salinas are both new to me and did an amazing job of bringing Juliet and Sawyer to life.

Safety made sexy

Wow! I have been a fan of Erin Nicholas forever. I just love the way she writes. She creates these amazing world's that make you want to be a part of and never leave. I love the characters she creates. Some of her characters will forever stay in my heart. Just breathtaking. I love the Boys of Bayou series. Those men are just too much.

In Beauty and the Bayou we finally get Sawyer Landry's story. Sawyer is a hot mess. Sawyer is wound tight and is very frustrating. He is lost. Enter Juliet Dawson. Juliet is a lawyer who volunteers her and her brother to repair the dock her brother destroyed one night. From the moment Sawyer and Juliet meet you can see the chemistry.

The narrators were phenomenal. As they were speaking I was able to follow along. They spoke clearly. Listening made me feel as if I was there just catching up with an old friend. Listening made me able to get my book fix as well as be able to ssf o other things.

In Beauty and the Bayou I felt a range of emotions. My heart broke, I cried, I laughed and had heartswooning moments all from one story. Juliet and Sawyer are truly perfect for each other. The passion they have is beyond this world. The secondary characters are as always phenomenal and I enjoyed catching up with them as well as getting more of the phenomenal Ellie. I just love Ellie. I love how all these characters support one another and are very tight. I love the town of Autre. I even love all animals especially Gus the otter. Erin Nicholas created n amazing world and an even more phenomenal story. I adore this series. I listened to it as I was traveling. If you want a romance that is more than just romance then Beauty and the Bayou is for you. You will laugh, cry, have heartswooning moments, feel a bit of your heart break and even go "oh my". Kudos to you Erin Nicholas.

Loved Every Moment of Sawyer, Juliet and the Bayou

Wow, Sawyer was such an interesting character, especially coming off of the last book in the series I was interested to see how this story was going to play out. Let me tell you, I was not at all disappointed and if I dare say, I think this is my favorite book in the series to date at this point. I loved what the author did with the story line in terms of writing a character for Sawyer that no only accepted him the way he was, but was also so similiar in experiences. I think they were able to connect on a much deeper level as they got to know each other because they could relate to each other so much better. And I absolutely loved listening to that unfold as the book went on. I loved getting a chance to see Sawyer grow and maybe heal a little from his trauma and be able to live again and enjoy life. It was truly a beautiful thing, and to be able to experience that with Juliet was something special. Gregory Salinas and Ramona Master did a fantastic job with their narration as Sawyer and Juliet, and I wholeheartedly loved every moment of this story. I cannot wait to see what is going to happen with more Boys of the Bayou and specifically Kennedy and Bennett! #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

Amazing Series!

This is the third book in the amazing Boys of the Bayou Series, a Romantic Comedy. This is a series of interconnected stories. Sawyer and Juliet's story is sweet, fun, and sexy. They are opposites attract, but they are perfect together. I loved it! The supporting characters are amazing. Ramona Master and Gregory Salinas did an excellent job with the narration. I enjoyed it, and I HIGHLY recommend this Series. Looking forward to listen to Crazy Rich Cajuns, Kennedy and Bennett's story, the next book in the Series. #AudiobookObsession #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

3rd book in the series and I want more of the Bayou stories

Sawyer, is the most intriguing of the family! I couldn’t wait to dive into his grouchiness and bad attitude! Boy was I right! His rough around the edges personality made me want to know him even more. Enter Juliet and I fell in love with this couple! His and her over protectiveness of themselves and the ones they love, was heart warming! While I loved the first 2 books, this has been my most favorite (so far). Looking forward to reading more and more about the Landry family!

Great narrative

Juliet is a lawyer. Sawyer is trying to deal with the tragic death of his best friend, the bayou isn't gonna take anyone else from him. Juliet and Sawyer meet because her brother destroyed a boat dock with a boat he stole. What will happen when Juliet opens Sawyer back up? With so many emotions can these two find love on the bayou? Will there be a HEA?
