This tortured‑artist, brother’s‑best‑friend romance pulled me in quickly. Arden has spent years on the move, keeping everyone at arm’s length, while Linc steps into her life quietly, carrying a depth of feeling he never fully hides.

I enjoyed watching their connection shift from guarded distance to something more grounded and emotionally steady. Linc falls first and stays patient without pushing, and Arden’s instinct to run—followed by her gradual choice to stay—felt natural and earned.

Their dynamic balanced emotion, tension, and warmth well, especially in the smaller moments: the art, the shared space, the slow‑building trust. The suspense added momentum without overtaking the romance, keeping the focus on their relationship.

The writing flowed smoothly, and the story stayed engaging throughout. I enjoyed this one and will be continuing with the Sparrow Falls series.

Loved this story from start to finish. I loved how she defended herself but how she come out of her shell with Lincoln.

Love Catherine audio books. Easy to listen to and I love that they is always other matters happening not just romance even though I love the romance every time.
