I’m Jake Morgan, a movie star. The man they all loved to hate.
I’m ridiculously rich and famous.
I take full advantage of it all - drugs, sex, booze, pills, clubs, orgies.
And enjoy every minute of it.
People see me as an asshole. Prickly. But all women fall at my feet.
All, yes. Except one.
Who is this woman who dares to stand up to me?
Tandy O’ Hara, a novelist.
They’ve tapped her to write the script of her last book.
And guess who's gonna be the leading actor of this film?
I can’t bear how she acts with me. Who does she think she is?
Of course, I want nothing more from Tandy than to ravish her body.

I was hired to write the screenplay of my book, A Moment in Time.
Am I excited to work with Jake Morgan?
Not really.
He’s a walking cliché. Even if he’s really hot.
And everything about him spells trouble.
If you think I'm gonna fall at your feet, think again, Jake.
I just want to get through this job.
Or we’ll be on set together.
Sadly, that’s the reason I can’t stay away from him.
Well, maybe there is something more.

This is a full-length novella with a happily ever after, no cliff-hanger, no cheating, and plenty of steam.

Struggled to Finish

My initial reaction to the beginning of the the book was: "Did I accidentally hit the times 1.5 speed on the recording?". This narrator read fast, really fast with no differentiation between the characters. It annoyed me but since it was a short book I stuck with it.

As I got further into the book it turned into hate listening. I don't believe in slut shaming, but this guy - male love interest - was disgusting. He was mean, disrespectful, and had no, in my opinion, and redeeming qualities. His character was so under developed. I felt that a person with any since of self worth would not want anything more than a booty call with him. So the book end of the book left me not with WTF, but with "ugg why?"

The female protagonist, as she was written would not choose a HEA/HFN with this guy. So, for me, the ending felt forced.

The flaws with the narrator only made the problematic story worse. I do not recommend this book.
