About this listen

A British police chief joins the list of high-profile Northern Ireland sniper victims. Tension rises as the US president prepares to visit. And the 29-year mystery around an IRA killer's gruesome death deepens.

Ex-CIA war crimes investigator Joe Johnson is called in as the sniper's body count rises. But with the motive unknown, the clock is ticking down as the president and UK prime minister prepare for a G8 world summit near Belfast.

Eventually, Johnson and his ex-MI6 colleague Jayne Robinson uncover historic hidden files, documents, and dark secrets from three decades earlier that certain high-flying public figures would rather remained unread. Johnson's investigation climaxes with a helicopter drama in the skies over Belfast.

Bandit Country - the third audiobook in the Joe Johnson series - dives into the murky depths of historic conflicts between British security forces and the IRA, as well as the illegal US-based fundraising and weapons-smuggling operations that armed the terrorists.

Meet Joe Johnson today and discover how he uncovers hidden truths from the past in an effort to prevent another devastating crime happening now.

Long periods of text with nothing really happening. Kept going back and trying again ad I like the author but this one just never gripped me

Didn’t hold my interest

I enjoyed the whole story, with lots of twists and turns.
But I wish he'd used a different voice for the Lead role's female friend. I can't stand that voice haha.

I would recommend this, to most people. especially as an audiobook. And I'll be looking at others like this.

Jack.

A great story.

I am an Irish man from North of the Island. Just read the book and forget about the accent or get a local to narrate. Listen to the narrator in Blanketmen

Found myself focusing on accents at first , however as the narrator went on I was hooked with the story and thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent
