A Masters of Romance Novel, a MM romance, age gap, first time, a fantastic book and narrated brilliantly by Michael Ferraiuolo. I found Colton to be sweet and absolutely hysterical, I laughed so much!! and so called Bad boy Russ fell under Coltons spell almost immediately. a great story, I loved it.

Wow, what a brilliant start to a new series! From the first chapter when we're with Colston driving in a snowstorm, I felt right there with the him as he goes through anxiety, panic and self doubt and my heart broke for him on several occasions through the story. He ends up at Russ's cabin in the middle of nowhere but luckily it turns out not to be a murder cabin and he ends up having probably the best experience of his life.
Russ lives alone in the woods, mostly hiding from the world as he writes romances for bad Boy characters, very much like himself, but ensuring they get their HEA. He's never going to have his dream boy just dropped at his doorstep...
From the first moment, there are spark of attraction, even for Colton as scared as he is, and it doesn't take long to combust in to this crazy hot connection that quickly becomes a lot more than either man ever hoped to have. Though emotions are quick to build, it feels like a natural progression for the two, especially being snowed in a confined together for a length of time. Russ is the perfect counterbalance to Colton's heightened emotions, offering understanding, compassion and support, not something that Colton with his ex boyfriend. Colton offers the same right back though, as Russ has things from his past that he still feels guilty and negatively towards but the younger man's staunch and determined defence of him slowly brings round his way of thinking. They now have each other to think of and protect in the outside world and its a beautiful and necessary relationship that grows between them.
Gavin, Colton's BFF that has his own short story in the series prequel, only has small scenes here but is hilarious, makes his presence know and its clear why the two are lifelong friends. Russ's friends all happen to be online and other authors that form a great group of people, all bringing unique qualities, especially when they're trying to brainstorm helping Russ with his new relationship and moving forward once they make it back into the outside world.
Cannot recommend this book enough. It had me gripped from beginning to end, smiling or feeling down right along with the characters. Looking forward to the next author in the series to get their HEA.
Michael Ferraiuolo has, again, given a wonderful performance. From reading the book I was expecting Russ' voice to be a bit deeper but both his and Colton's carry the story well and it's so easy to fall in love with the romance from the start as Michael's narration carries you through.

I just finish reading the ebook of the new series by Emma Alcott when I discovered that it was also in audio, and I needed to have it! The book is witty, funny, romantic and sweet, with a little family drama and few amazing angst situations (I don't want to spoil anything but you need to read the scenes to understand me, they were so perfect!, Colton rocks!), Mr Ferraiuolo, as always made a wonderful performance with his charismatic voice and wonderful acting skills. I specially enjoyed his characterization of Russ, one of the best I heard! Loved it!

Great first book in the series!! It definitely makes me want to read the rest of the books! I love books about authors and this group of romance authors seems very fun and I really liked their friendship and how they took care of each other. The romance was really great too, just a bit too insta love for my taste but I still enjoyed it very much! And the narrator was brilliant! He really brought the characters to life!
