Another cute story in the series. The Booker brothers are just as charming and Kacey is still funny and getting into lots of scrapes. I enjoy the humour in the series and the gentle mysteries that Kacey has to solve.
This is an entertaining story and I have really enjoyed listening to the series.

This was the first audiobook narrated by Marie Hoffman that I’ve listened to, she did a great job narrating the story. Her voice really brought the characters to life.

Background Checks and Balances wasn’t quite what I was expecting, I was expecting a cozy murder mystery or a who dunnit and due to this I kept expecting the story to pick up the pace. The characters are entertaining and likeable (really likeable).
