A terminal diagnosis. A sniper. And the most impossible of love stories.
Jule is in her mid-thirties when she is diagnosed with ALS, an incurable disease. Rather than facing a slow and agonising death, she hires a contract killer to shoot her at a moment when she is truly happy. That is the only way she wants to leave this world.
The sniper is tasked with finding this perfect moment. But as he watches Jule, he falls in love with her and her zest for life. When the two meet by chance, a passion ignites between them that changes everything. The only problem is that he has to carry out the assignment, or pay for it with his own life.
Lucy Anders wields warmth and humour to weave an extraordinary love story from two perspectives. A story about letting go, the courage to start again, and the realisation that true happiness is sometimes found where you least expect it.
