🤠 Can a stock forecast tell us where the market is headed—or are we just listening to the noise?

In this episode of Trail Boss Bull Run Weekly, we put INVA through four separate ARDL statistical model runs, examining inflation (CPI), the Federal Funds Rate, the 10-Year Treasury Yield, and WTI crude oil.

With INVA closing at $20.78 for the week ending October 16, 2026, our models delivered four different readings:

• CPI inflation: $20.71 forecast — down 0.35%.

• Federal Funds Rate: $20.89 forecast — up 0.55%.

• 10-Year Treasury Yield: $20.73 forecast — down 0.22%.

• WTI crude oil: $20.83 forecast — up 0.22%.

That gives us two bullish forecasts and two bearish forecasts. The projected prices fall within a narrow range, but the models tell different stories about what may be influencing the stock.

We explore why the Federal Funds Rate model produced the strongest projected move, why the CPI and Treasury yield models carried warnings about high price persistence, and why the crude oil model showed little measurable short-run influence.

Most importantly, we discuss the difference between a statistical signal and a reliable prediction. High persistence can make it difficult to separate a continuing price trend from something that resembles a random walk. Even when a model produces a long-run estimate, that number deserves scrutiny rather than blind trust.

INVA pays no dividend according to the market dividend information in these reports, so the forecasts focus on potential price movement alone.
