Transportive. Evocative. Unforgettable. Be swept away by Australia's dazzling new storyteller.

Shifting between the 1940s, and 1995,?The Storyteller of Wyld Hall?is a sweeping story of love and loss, friendship and fear, mystery and murder, and one woman's account of surviving it all.

Every story has a beginning. This one has a secret…

Easter 1941: As the night sky above Bristol crackles with the gunfire of German planes, a woman flees through the darkness towards the edge of a deep gorge. She is pursued by a man desperate for answers. Before the night is over, one will be dead while another will be bound forever to the story of what really happened that fateful night.

Spring 1995: Decades later, Bella Connelly is an elderly lady guarding a dark secret. But when a letter arrives from Florence Winters of the National Trust, the ghosts of Bella's past are stirred, and the memories she's long consigned to the depths of her mind begin to surface. She is the last person alive who knows the truth of what happened all those years ago. As Bella sinks into memory, she remembers how it all began… with Holly.
