I'm only three books in so my review will focus on the first books and I will update as I work through the series.

The value of this collection is fantastic, for one credit you get 10 books which is fantastic, and so far, the books themselves are fantastic. A space opera where ever character is a little bit shady. Humanity hasn't pulled together in the face of an alien threat, everyone is still trying to get their buck. There's something so real about that.
Scott Bartlett manages to explain the premise of the story and the recent history of earth without massive info dumps which I greatly appreciated.

Brilliantly written with an excellent narrator these books will keep you interested for hours.

An Excellent Space Opera Where Everyone Is Kinda Shady.

having just finished the whole series, I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I was with the end of the series. The rest of the series had been great with an abundance of interesting characters, intrigue, political manoeuvres, romance, inevitable betrayal, epic space battles and a writing style where you could almost feel the acceleration. But the end simply felt like a cop out. what game of thrones was to fantasy, this is to sci-fi. Almost literally the Dallas style ”it was all a dream". Hugely disappointing.

I write this as I am 2 and change, books in. It is turning into a really great series and will update the review once I complete the box set.
This is the 2nd or 3rd series I have read of the author and they have not disappoint me in their story telling. From my experience of the author I know that as this is a completed series it will have a planned ending, which is always good to know when you start a new series in my opinion.

So far I really like how the future political and corporate landscape seems to have naturally evolved. The ratio of dialogue and action is good, the main characters are fleshed out and it is easy to following what is happening, The ship and company position in the story for me is a really unique scenario for a story, a PMC along with other PMCs isolated from Earth.
I am looking forward to seeing how the Dawn Cluster develops, what will happen to the company, and the Zanthic.

The narrator is a solid choice for the series who I have enjoyed in other books and who, like the author, make me more likely to get a book when I see their name involved.

A brilliant escape into a lived in universe
