Crumpled Trumpet takes us from his experiences of working on national events like the Falklands war and the death of Diana Princess of Wales, to the inside story of directing countless presenters, singers, musicians and actors, including Hollywood star Dirk Bogarde, legendary actress Glenda Jackson, pop superstar Gary Barlow and chat show king, Sir Michael Parkinson.
Leaving home at eighteen, Anthony arrived in Broadcasting House convinced he would be producing at The London Palladium by the end of the week — it took a little longer than that! This book follows his progress with an entertaining series of broadcasting adventures, full of humour and insight.
