Stalked by a psychotic billionaire…

Waitressing isn't a calling; it's a way to pay for my art degree.

Until Killian Smith walks into the bar and turns my world upside down.

It isn't that he's drop-dead gorgeous. Rich. Powerful. It's that he's unhinged.

I know the dead look in his eyes. I've seen it before.

And he sees me too. Every night is some twisted game of cat and mouse and he's drawing closer to catching me.

Until one night when I step into a back alley and I'm a witness to a Bratva murder.

There is only one man I can turn to for help. The one man who petrifies me is the only one who can protect me.

Killian Smith. A beautiful monster.

He'll keep me safe. But what will he want in return?

Welcome to the dark side of Vegas where the stakes are high and the men lethal. This book is a dark romance with adult themes. For mature listeners.

Ok so I'm 5 chapters in and the story itself is great, but I cannot listen to any more because the voices of the British brothers are so awful and make the characters unbelievable. I'm British - maybe if you're not, this will be a great listen, but I think voices more like Jason Statham is what I'm wanting. However, I don't want this audio review to reflect on the story, and I'm actually going to read it on Kindle instead because I need to know how it pans out...

Brit accent let it down

I have tried so hard to work my way through the book but the male voice is awful. Not what you would expect at all from this kind of story. I have listened to many audio books with this genre. The voice couldn’t be any more mismatched if you tried. One minute there is Scottish twang. He ends his sentences with his tone going up. So frustrating as the story and the female voice are great.

Disappointing

The male lead voice lets the audio down, but the story holds it own.

Great story

Is wrong with the male lead? Absolutely dreadful performance from him. Was he even English? Rather than sounding like a dangerous assassin, he sounded like a wimp in an amateur dramatic show. The timbre of his voice was all wrong. The female lead was pretty good though. Story was okay but made less credible because of the male performance. I won’t be listing to any more in this series because of that. Perhaps the author should consider re-recording with a different male lead.

What on earth……..
