What can I say about this audiobook apart from I absolutely LOVED it.

The narration for done in duet (Chef's 😘 as always) by the amazing Teddy H and Savannah 🍑. They knocked this out the park. The expression of personality and character was 10/10.

I loved the different take on this romance, how neither of the characters were meek and mild, Our FC was strong, independent and fiery in the face of adversity. Our MC was cocky, devilishly handsome and at time a real pr$$k....but in the omg I want to climb him like a tree to shut him up kind of way.

We have an engagement of convinces that turns into love....he falls first and for the first time....swoon.

There is friendship, family connection, single mother love and protection along side lust, spice and love.

Everything I want in a romance.
Definitely recommend

LJ Shen never disappoints and loving this new series as much as I did with her previous ones. It’s a lovely easy read, not particularly dark or gritty, but the likability of the main characters make up for it and the narration is just wonderful ❤️

Swoon

This is one of Ms Shen’s lighter novels. There’s drama and some angst, but mostly it’s about how two emotionally unavailable people can somehow form a stable relationship and fall in love. Rhyland a retired sex worker, needs investment in his new app; Dillon, has come to New York with her little girl, hoping to make a fresh start. She’s Rhyland’s BFF’s stubborn, determined, irrepressible little sister; he’s Dillon’s elder brother’s cocky, snarky player BFF. They end up fake engaged so he can get his investment in his app, yet they really don’t like each other, whilst at the same time want to rip each other’s clothes off. What could possibly go wrong?

Both characters are likeable, although I found Dillon a bit irritating at times, Gravity (yes that’s really her name!) the little girl is cute. Most characters reappeared from the previous book (which I enjoyed more), and we get pop ins from Ro and Cal, Tucker (urrgh!) and Tate, (growl!).

Teddy and Savannah do a great job, although I found something a bit off about Savannah’s recording quality that took me out of the book at the beginning. The performances were great though. Well worth a credit.
