It takes nothing less than a fateful natural disaster to throw two opposites together in a ground-shakingly charming short story by the New York Times bestselling author of Drunk on Love.

This Valentine’s Day, Daisy Murray has her heart set on binge-watching rom-coms. Instead, an earthquake traps her inside a bakery with its impossibly rude and insufferably handsome owner and head baker. They already have a history: she’s always smiled, he’s always scowled. Where better to finally get to know each other than amid the disaster? Then again, they have no choice. Besides, it could have its sweet, undeniable, and unpredictable perks.

Jasmine Guillory’s Drop, Cover, and Hold On is part of The Improbable Meet-Cute, irresistibly romantic stories about finding love when and where you least expect it. They can be read or listened to in one sitting. Let’s make a date of it.

I loved the writing style of this author, and the narration was absolutley spot on, I really enjoyed listening, she really captured the emotion of the chatacters.

This is short but really sweet. Daisy loved going to the local bakery, but the hot owner doesn;t seem to like her. Bu then they are stuck together when there's an earthquake and they get chance to actually chat to each other and clear the air.

This was fast and these two had an insta-attraction. They certainly did not waste any time once they realise they both liked each other.

The narration was perfect for rhe FMC

I really enjoyed the meet-cute with two refreshingly unique characters. It would be great if the story were fleshed out a bit more.

Love the meet-cute, but would like to see more surrounding story to enhance it.

This was a really lovely short story to listen to while putting away my washing 🤣

Daisy who loves going to this bakery to get her favourite pastries meets this grumpy baker, earthquake happens and they get trapped and admit there feelings for each other. He was not being grumpy he was trying to give her things to show his feelings but he thaught she couldnt feel the same for her.

A lovely little story to listen to on audio

No plot, no butterflies, no specific story line. It felt like a mismash of different plots. The vibes was nearly there but for a 40 page story, alot could have been incorporated in the earthquake scene. Barely a 1 star

What just happened.
