It's not easy being a house that eats people.

Zaria was just a normal woman, living a simple life—until demons burst through her door and ate her heart. Reborn from tragedy, Zaria rises from the ashes as a Core, but with a twist. A rare mutation has turned her into a Mutant Core, destined to explode unless she forms a bond with a human witch to become a Striga.

Her mutation? Legs.

With the power of a full dungeon compressed into a walking house that is her body, Zaria sets out on a journey to find her Striga and avoid detonation. Along the way, she battles demons, builds her dungeon, and feeds her mimic mobs.

This is not the life she once knew, but it's the one she's determined to make work, no matter who she has to walk through to get there.

Really interesting premise and I enjoyed the story. But considering it's been years now and a squeal doesn't look forthcoming, I'd caution anyone against that would prefer a complete story.

Good but abandoned

it was nice to see a mobile dungeon that becomes an active main character with a real stake in the game. I just wish I had the next book in hopefully a series because it did leave me wanting more.

Refreshing take on a eastern European folklore mixed with modern fantasy.

The book was magnificent. Splendid. I loved it! Make another pls. I loved the demons, but I wish they were a bit less mindless killing machines and more choosing to be mindless killing machines, therefore making room for nice demos too. Also,I read dinosaur dungeon before this, and I was listening to the book when the wisp I forgot the name of mentioned Pierre,I was all like wahhh! And then I got more references to the book from there. I also recommend listening of reading the dinosaur dungeon series first, but it wouldn’t mean there would be critical things u wouldn’t understand. Back to this book tho, it was a big cliffhanger. But it’s really good. I’m hoping it’s not going to have a lot of politicking until much later. My all time fav audio book sorties is “Salvos” and it was great. The politicking only started around the 7th book, and by then I had gotten atached to it. I recommend that Alex and everyone else does that too, but I’m not an author, and that’s just my opinion. But read it please. It’s a good book. The dungeon that walks like a man,I mean. I recommend u read all the books I’ve stated here. READ THEM!!!!
