About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

‘The ghosts of today don’t live in castles or stately homes, they’re in normal houses and workplaces, witnessed by people just like you and me. But are they the dead returning from the “undiscovered country” of death, or the product of that equally mysterious location, the human mind?’

Danny Robins is on a mission to try to solve the greatest of all mysteries – do ghosts exist? This thrilling book tells the stories of ordinary people who have experienced extraordinary things and want to understand them. It is also a journey of self-discovery, as Danny explores what the paranormal means to us, and considers the exciting yet terrifying prospect that we are not alone.

From poltergeists and apparitions, to UFOs and strange messages from beyond the grave, Into the Uncanny is a page-turning real-life supernatural adventure. So, are you Team Believer or Team Sceptic – and do you dare to find out?

Intriguing cases, thoughtful insights, and a great respect for the experiences of everyone involved. I’m a fan of the podcast and was really excited to listen to the audiobook, I wasn’t at all disappointed, and would encourage listeners to download!

Marvellous!

I have been listening to the Uncanny podcast cast and was glad to have some more to listen to.
What I really liked about this was that I didn’t have to listen to Kieran Okeith come up with sceptical explanations that are more unlikely than it being paranormal.
Anyway great book Danny.
I have already listened through the whole thing twice.

Another brilliant job by Mr Robins

I’m a fan of Danny’s podcast and this audiobook does not disappoint. These new cases genuinely had me spooked, especially the UFO story in Middlesbrough. I was outside in the dark earlier convinced for a moment I’d see a black sphere in the back garden. I had to dash back inside!

I’m going to listen again to pick up on any details I missed the first time around. I would recommend to any fan of real life paranormal stories.

Genuinely spooked!

Like an extended episode of the podcast, but deeper and more frightening! Really great narration and story telling.

Must listen for Uncanny podcast fans

Love the writing style. Some great paranormal stories as well as segments that explore why we have paranormal experiences, taking in the views of both skeptics and believers.

Beautifully written
